Then a group of car companies will apply for a L3 level autonomous driving license, and after obtaining this license, they can carry out L3 high-speed automatic driving road tests in designated areas under the supervision and guidance of the government.
BMW is the first company in China to officially announce that it will get a license, and it is said that the new BMW 5 Series will be tested on the road.
After BMW, 5 more companies have obtained licenses, and a total of 6 companies have obtained test licenses, namely BMW, Zhiji, Mercedes-Benz, AVATAR, Deep Blue Automobile, and Extreme Fox Automobile.
The test models of Mercedes-Benz and Zhiji are unknown, but the other four test models are BMW 5 Series, AVATR 11, Navy SL03, and ARCFOX Alpha S Advance Edition.
From these brands and these models, we can see that Huawei has become a big winner in autonomous driving this time, because two of the six major car companies use Huawei's ADS2.0 technology.
These two are AVATR 11 and ARCFOX Alpha S Advanced Edition, both of which are equipped with Huawei's ADS 2.0 high-end intelligent driving system, using Huawei's MDC 810 computing power platform, using 3 lidars, 6 millimeter-wave radars, 13 high-definition cameras and 12 ultrasonic radars, and using multi-sensor fusion technology.
In the past, L3 was not allowed to go on the road, so Yu Chengdong only advertised that his ADS2.0 was 2.999...... The next 9 is infinitely looping, infinitely close to 3, and now L3 can be tested on the road, of course, this system has jumped to L3 level.
