At 23:59 on December 18, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Jishi Mountain. Thirty-six hours after the earthquake, the reporter met a 5-year-old "little bell" in Gaoli Village, Liuji Township, Jishishan County.
"Little Bell" lives in a large courtyard with his family, and when the earthquake struck, he and his family quickly ran to the middle of the yard to take refuge, but no one was injured.
Little did they know at the time that only a few hours after the earthquake struck, rescue forces from all over the world quickly gathered and rushed to the epicenter, and the work of searching and rescue, setting up tents, and lighting fires and cooking was carried out overnight.
When it was noon on December 20, Little Bell, who was living in the temporary settlement, offered to invite us to his tent. A family of seven lives in a warm tent, and supplies such as noodles, milk, and fruit are constantly being brought in.
In the areas affected by this earthquake, there are still many "little bells" living in temporary settlements, and I hope you will survive the winter warmly and grow up healthy.
