On December 23, the "Broad View and Far-reaching - 2023 Liaoning Lake Society Calligraphy and Painting Research Association Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" was grandly opened at the Shenyang Daily Art Museum. The exhibition is guided by the Liaoning Federation of Social Sciences and the Liaoning Provincial Research Museum of Culture and History, sponsored by the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, the Liaoning Hushe Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, and the Liaoning Provincial Fine Arts Graduate Innovation and Academic Center, and undertaken by the School of Chinese Painting of the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts and the Shenyang Daily Art Museum.
Zhao Baoping, president of the Liaoning Hushe Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, president of the Liaoning CPPCC Painting and Calligraphy Institute, and former dean of the Chinese Painting Academy of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, said that the theme of the exhibition is named "Broad and Far-reaching", which is intended to inherit the traditional cultural ideas and the essence of calligraphy and painting art, and highlight the contemporary value of traditional culture and art. 77 works depict the good life of the people in the new era
Zhao Baoping told reporters that this exhibition brings together a total of 63 old, middle and young artists of three generations of 77 masterpieces, "the exhibited works include the late Mr. Hushe predecessors and the Liaoning Hushe Calligraphy and Painting Research Association to restore and rebuild the president, vice president, secretary-general, such as Zhao Mengzhu, Yan Shaoxiang, Zhong Zhifu, Ji Guanzhi, Guo Xihe, Chen Zhongyi, Xu Chi, Guo Zixu, Sun Shichang, Yang Deheng, Sun Wenbo, Li Lianzhong, etc., they have both collaborative works, but also independent creation, some works are the first time to meet the audience." As the former executive vice president of the Liaoning Lake Society Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, Yang Deheng has always been good at flower and bird painting and landscape painting, especially crane painting. In this exhibition, his work "Return to Home" also has the theme of "crane". "I have a very deep affection for cranes, and I have been to Crane Township more than a dozen times. The inspiration for this work came from a news story in which I watched cranes hovering in the air and couldn't go home, so I created this work to appeal to people to pay attention to environmental protection and live in harmony with animals. Mr. Yang Deheng, who is over 80 years old, still insists on creating for four or five hours a day. He said that it was the spirit of the "Lake Society" that made him never forget his original intention.
Yang Liu, vice president of the School of Chinese Painting of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, is a relatively young member of the Liaoning Lake Society Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, and her exhibited works in this exhibition are "Boneless Flower Series Paintings", "This group of works not only has the meaning of quaintness, but also has the skills of fine brushwork and freehand painting, and is not limited by specific techniques and procedures, and is easier to play with personality, which is exactly in line with the purpose of the Lake Society."
