Once in the Olympiad competition, Liu Zhiyu won the first place, and in order to praise him, the school teacher posted the good news of Liu Zhiyu's award on the bulletin wall.
But when he arrived the next day, Liu Zhiyu found that his photo had been torn off. Yoo Ji-woo is sad about this, he just loves mathematics and wants his classmates to feel his joy too.
But the reality disappointed him, in his third year of high school, Liu Zhiyu suffered from eye disease because of excessive use of his eyes, and during that time, it was lonely and dark for Liu Zhiyu.
In order to let him catch up, his mother also deliberately read out the handouts of the Olympiad textbook and recorded it as an audio to read it to her son.
And Yoo Ji-woo did not live up to his parents' expectations, and despite having an eye disease, he still successfully passed the exam and obtained the qualification to enter the national team.
Except for Liu Zhiyu, the other students in the experimental class were all dismissed back to their respective classes. It seems that after three years of hard work, only Yoo Zhiyu successfully turned into a butterfly, which also made him feel very lonely.
In 2006, Liu Zhiyu, who entered the national team, also successfully won the gold medal in the International Mathematical Olympiad and successfully obtained the qualification for admission to Peking University.

The confusion in his heart and the increasingly serious eye disease made Liu Zhiyu extremely painful, and in this case, Liu Zhiyu joined the Buddhist Society of Peking University and began to talk to the Buddha.
In contact with Buddhism, Liu Zhiyu also seemed to have made up his mind, he was determined to convert to Buddhism and find himself and authenticity through Buddhism.
In 2010, after graduating from university, Liu Zhiyu resolutely became a monk at Longquan Temple in Beijing without hiding from his family and teachers, and just a month ago, Liu Zhiyu had just received an admission letter from the world-famous Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
After his parents learned the news, they also advised Liu Zhiyu not to be rash, but Liu Zhiyu's eyes were firm, and in an email to the MIT professor, Liu Zhiyu said:
I'm sorry, I can't be your student anymore, I decided to dedicate my life to Buddhism.
In this way, there is one less young genius Liu Zhiyu in the world, and one more monk and mage Xianyu who is dedicated to Buddhism. If it weren't for the fact that Longquan Temple fell into a public opinion storm in 2018, perhaps Liu Zhiyu would have spent his whole life in the temple.

Soon after, Liu Zhiyu took the initiative to go down the mountain, and during the Spring Festival of 2022, Liu Zhiyu chose to return to the vulgar and became a psychological counselor, with a monthly salary of 20,000 yuan. In a recent interview, Liu Zhiyu also revealed to reporters that he was married.
He also said that his wife was very affectionate, and the two would meditate together, and when talking about his past experience, Liu Zhiyu said, It was not until this year that I really unloaded my burden, returned to life, and returned to myself.
