Haihui Academy Scenic Area is located in Daqiao Village, Beiliu Town, Yangcheng County, Jincheng City, was originally a thousand-year-old temple given by the Tang and Song emperors, with a history of at least 1,100 years, the scenic spot covers an area of 34,800 square meters, divided into Tang and Ming Twin Pagoda Districts, Shuyuan Cultural Area, Millennium Ancient Temple District and Yangcheng Ancient Eight Scenic Spots "Haihui Longhu", a total of three districts and a scenic spot.
Located between the temple and the pagoda courtyard in the scenic area, there is a glorious ming and qing dynasty, a glorious ancient academy, this academy, ancient called Haihui Beiyuan. Located in the Ming Dynasty official Tianguan Wang Guoguang, Qing Dynasty Wenyuange University Tuchen Tingjing hometown is the hometown of Yangcheng's people and jinshi, in the Ming and Qing dynasties, directly or indirectly nurtured dozens of jinshi, hundreds of lifting people, thousands of talents, achieving an unprecedented glory in the history of Yangcheng.
Yangcheng is the hometown of the Three Jins culture, since the Song Dynasty has produced more than 120 jinshi, the number of jinshi, ranked third in Shanxi, Yangcheng Dongxiang (that is, now Beiliu, Runcheng) out of the jinshi accounted for nearly half of Yangcheng, and Haihui Academy is at the junction of Beiliu and Runcheng towns. There is still an ancient folk song circulating in Yangcheng: "Guo Yu Sanzhuang is lying down and down, and the people are only two thousand and five, if the inventory is not enough, it will all be supplemented by the small city tuncheng." "The villages mentioned in this folk song are the villages where the humanities of Yangcheng Dongxiang were flourishing in that year, and although the number of people who raised talents at that time was an approximation, it was not an exaggeration.
From the middle of the Ming Dynasty to the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, there were at least three Shangshu of Wang Guoguang, Zhang Shenyan, and Bai Yinqian, and Chen Tingjing, a university scholar, who studied here, and Haihui Academy had a great influence on the culture of Yangcheng Dongxiang and even the culture on both sides of the middle reaches of the Qin River. Haihui Academy is a splendid academy of the Ming and Qing dynasties in Yangcheng, although it is covered in the dust of history, its radiance can still be seen.
