Google Chrome Password Checkup will now run automatically in the background

author:3DM Game Network

Google recently released a blog post saying that Chrome Browser's security checkup feature will now "automatically run in the background" on the desktop, which checks the internet to see if a user's saved passwords have been compromised. Constant checks can mean that users receive password reminders and should be able to change their passwords sooner than before.

Safety Check also monitors for bad extensions or website permissions that you need to see, and you can take action on Security Check alerts from Chrome's menu. In addition, Google says that if you haven't visited a website in a while, Security Check can revoke the site's permissions.

Google also announced an upcoming feature for Chrome Tab Groups: Chrome will allow you to save tab groups, making it easier for users to use them across devices, such as between a PC and a phone. Google said the feature would be available "in the coming weeks."
