The first "chameleon" of the Republic of China: Shi Yousan, a renegade general who was buried alive

author:Cat's fishing ground

The ancients had the saying that "Wen died and died in battle", and most of those who went to the battlefield wanted to wrap their bodies in ma ge and die on the battlefield. Among the warlords of the Republic of China period, there was such a person, who believed in the creed of "having milk is a mother", and successively defected to Feng Yuxiang, Yan Xishan, Chiang Kai-shek, Zhang Xueliang and the Communist Party, and finally defected to Japan, which was disgraceful and was crowned the title of the first "chameleon" of the Republic of China.

This person is the warlord Shi Yousan of the Republic of China. In this issue, we will take you to understand the men who have become "six family slaves".

The first "chameleon" of the Republic of China: Shi Yousan, a renegade general who was buried alive

Shi Yousan

Shi Yousan, a native of Changchun, was born in 1891. At the age of 17, due to family problems, he dropped out of school and joined the army, joined the third town of the army of Wu Peifu battalion, and went to Hebei with the troops to garrison, and later there was a mutiny in the third town of the army, and Shi Yousan had no way to go and was left alone in Beijing.

Feng Yuxiang

In 1912, Feng Yuxiang, the commander of the Feng battalion, recruited troops in Beijing, and saw that although Shi Yousan was short and his appearance was not proud, he was quite clever, so he recruited him to be his own groom. During his time as a groom, Shi Yousan observed the color of speech, knew how to flatter, and won the trust of Feng Yuxiang, and soon became Feng's personal bodyguard.

After that, he followed Feng Yuxiang all the way to the highest promotion, and Feng Sheng was promoted to brigadier general, and he was promoted to company commander. It was also at this time that he became acquainted with his brother Gao Shuxun. Later, when he was promoted to battalion commander, he met Han Fuyu, the commander of the first battalion. After that, Feng Yuxiang was promoted to the post of Northwest Border Defense Inspector, and Shi Yousan was also promoted to brigade commander. At this time, Shi Yousan had become one of the thirteen Taibao under Feng Yuxiang.

In 1926, the Northwest Army and Yan Xishan's Jin army fought, Feng Yuxiang ordered Shi Yousan and Han Fuyu to attack the Jin army garrisoned in Yanbei and Datong, the two at first achieved some victories, but in the subsequent war, the Jin army defended according to natural dangers, causing the two men to suffer heavy casualties, and the two began to have the idea of a strike.

At this time, Han Fuyu contacted Fu Rujun, the defender of Datong, and the two secretly contacted each other to agree on an agreement that "Han will not attack the city, and Fu will not fire artillery". Han told Shi Yousan about this, and Shi Yousan immediately contacted Shang Zhen, the commander-in-chief of the Jin Army, who had a teacher-student relationship, and the two privately signed a non-aggression agreement.

Just when Han and Shi were unable to contribute, the Feng army successively attacked the town near Zhangjiakou, where the Northwest Army headquarters was located, and Feng Yuxiang immediately made a decision and ordered a retreat to the west. Yan Xishan saw this opportunity and fought with the Feng clan and defeated the Northwest Army. And Han Shi and the two men, because they had an agreement with the Jin army, not only did not block the Attack of the Jin Army, but also took the opportunity to gather the defeated troops and expand their power. Soon, under the influence of Yan Xishan, the two returned to the same situation. At this time, Feng Yuxiang, who had already gone to the Soviet Union, was kept in the dark.

Northern Expeditionary Army

In August of the same year, Feng Yuxiang returned to Wuyuan, Inner Mongolia from the Soviet Union, at a time when the Northern Expedition was under way. After repeated lobbying by revolutionary party figures, Feng Yuxiang agreed to respond to the Northern Expedition in Wuyuan.

As soon as he arrived in Wuyuan, he immediately called a meeting of his subordinates. Shi Yousan and Han Fuyu, who had a ghost in their hearts, repeatedly pushed back, and Feng Yuxiang, who understood the matter, said that he did not care about the previous suspicions, and the two obeyed the orders to go. After this defection, Feng Yuxiang had some precautions against Shi Yousan, and Shi Yousan also had some fear of Feng Yuxiang.

In 1927, Shi Yousan's troops robbed along the way during the transfer of defenses, and after Feng Yuxiang heard about it, he severely punished several of Shi Yousan's cronies in the name of zhengjun discipline.

At this time, it was widely rumored in the army that Feng Yuxiang wanted to replace Shi Yousan's position with Shi Jingting. Shi Yousan was deeply anxious. Feng Yuxiang also suddenly ordered that Shi Yousan be organized into a general reserve and that Li Bingxuan be made the post of chief of staff, which made Shi Yousan even more panicked. Subsequently, in the battle with the Feng clan, Shi Bu was defeated, and while rectifying military discipline, Shi Yousan found an excuse to shoot Shi Jingting's nephew. This led to a feud between Shi Yousan and Shi Jingting, and at this time, Shi Jingting was deeply valued by Feng Yuxiang.

Chiang Kai-shek

In 1928, after the Battle of Yutai, he was rewarded by Chiang Kai-shek for Shi You's defeat of Sun Chuanfang and was rewarded with 70,000 yuan. Shi Yousan was flattered and quickly sent someone to Xuzhou to thank Chiang Kai-shek, who gave Shi Yousan another 100,000 yuan for the purpose of co-opting. Somehow this matter suddenly spread widely in the army, and Shi Yousan was furious, thinking that it was the chief of staff Li Bingxuan who leaked it, so he sent someone to bury Li secretly alive.

Feng Yuxiang once asked Shi Yousan about the whereabouts of Li Bingxuan, and Shi Yousan casually found a reason to deceive him. At this time, Shi Yousan already had the intention of betraying Feng Yuxiang again.

In January 1929, Chiang Kai-shek convened a reconvening conference to weaken the forces of other warlords. The Northwest Army, which bore the brunt of it, was targeted by Chiang Kai-shek, and Feng Yuxiang was greatly dissatisfied with this. After the meeting, Feng Yuxiang fled Nanjing and decided to attack Chiang Kai-shek. He withdrew his troops from Shandong and Henan to western Henan and Shaanxi, and spared no effort to persuade Yan Xishan to join him in his crusade against Chiang Kai-shek. After that, Feng ordered Han Fuyu and Shi Yousan to garrison in Henan, ready to fight Jiang. Unexpectedly, Han and Shi had secretly defected to Chiang Kai-shek.

In the autumn of 1929, Chiang Kai-shek appointed Shi Yousan as chairman of Anhui Province. When Shi took office, Jiang changed his mind and promised to be the chairman of Guangdong Province. Shi Yousan did not want to give up his influence in North China, but he did not want to offend Chiang Kai-shek, and he fell into a dilemma for a while.

At this time, Tang Shengzhi, who was then a member of the National Government, sent people to visit and wanted Shi Yousan to oppose Chiang Kai-shek together, and the Guangdong side also sent people to make a promise to Shi. Shi Yousan no longer hesitated, agreed to oppose Chiang Kai-shek, and on December 9, he held an emergency military conference with his subordinates to detain Chiang's representatives. Then, troops were sent to shell the city of Nanjing, and plainclothes teams were used to mix into Nanjing and create chaos. For a time, the various departments in Nanjing were in a mess. Shi Yousan took the opportunity to gather his subordinates, snatched many of Jiang's supplies along the line, and returned all the way back to Shangqiu, Henan.

Yan Xishan

In the spring of 1930, Feng Yuxiang and Yan Xishan once again planned to please Jiang and sent people to Henan to persuade Shi Yousan to jointly oppose Jiang. Shi refused to send troops. Soon, Yan Xishan again sent people to Henan to persuade Shi to send troops, promising to give Shandong Province to Shi as a territory afterwards. At this time, Shi Yousan was stationed in the Xinxiang area of northern Henan, and the ammunition and materials were all dependent on Han Fuyu's relief, Shi Yousan wanted to get rid of the current situation, plus the previous shelling of Nanjing had already offended Chiang Kai-shek, so he agreed to send troops against Chiang Kai-shek.

In May of the same year, the Central Plains War broke out, and Shi Yousan led his troops to fight along the Longhai Line. In August, Shibu defeated most of Chiang Kai-shek's army and penetrated into Chiang Kai-shek's sphere of influence, intending to capture Chiang, but was defeated. On the 25th, Chiang Kai-shek's troops conquered Jinan. At this time, Shi Yousan received news that Zhang Xueliang would soon send troops to help Jiang. Considering the future prospects, Shi Yousan immediately called Zhang Xueliang to "immediately withdraw his troops to the north, obey the northeast, and be willing to follow the example." In September, Zhang Xueliang sent a power generation to support Jiang, and Shi Yousan was the first to respond.

Chang

After Shi Yousan defected to Zhang Xueliang in the name of his fellow villagers in the northeast, he kept sending people to Beiping to contact the Northeast Army. In 1931, he personally visited Zhang Xueliang in Shenyang. Zhang promised to reorganize and pay the Shi troops, and first gave 200,000 salaries. Shi immediately expressed the hope that Zhang could send someone to assist him in his affairs, and Zhang Xueliang then sent a fellow shi Yousan to his secretary-general.

After the reorganization, Shi You's three forces rose sharply, with tens of thousands of troops, occupying the middle of the Pinghan Line.

Wang Jingwei

In the same year, Wang Jingwei and others organized the National Government in Guangzhou, sent people to woo Shi Yousan with the positions of member of the National Government and the Fifth Army, and then gave him 500,000 yuan. Shi Yousan accepted the solicitation without hesitation.

After agreeing to Wang Jingwei, Shi Yousan did not obey his orders, but instead advocated occupying the Pingjin area and expelling Zhang Xueliang from Guanwai. When Zhang Xueliang's cousin Zhang Xuecheng came to visit, he told Shi Yousan that Zhang Xueliang had become seriously ill and died in Xiehe Hospital. The subordinates are secretive and not sent, in fact, it has been a big mess.

It is also said that the Northeast Army is a miscellaneous army and is vulnerable to a blow, and this is a good opportunity to attack Beiping. Shi Yousan was overjoyed, and quickly found his subordinates who had just returned from Beiping to confirm that Zhang Xueliang was indeed seriously ill and refused to see the guest, but he did not die. After listening, Shi Yousan immediately ignored the opposition of his subordinates and decided to attack Zhang Xueliang.

In July, Shi Yousan gathered his subordinates in Shunde and announced that he had accepted the appointment of the Nationalist government in Guangzhou as commander-in-chief of the Fifth Army and expanded his troops to 9 corps. On the 18th, Shi Yousan sent a telegram to attack Zhang Xueliang. The Shi army broke through all the way, and attacked nan Daran and suffered fierce resistance from the northeast army, and Shibu fiercely fought for three days and failed to advance again. At this time, Chiang Kai-shek sent Hu Zongnan to surround Shi Yousan from the direction of Shunde. Shi Yousan fought and retreated, and when he retreated to Texas, there were only about 4,000 people left. Zhang Xueliang ordered Han Fuyu to organize the rest of the unit into four regiments.

Shi Yousan, whose power had collapsed, was sent under the fence in Shandong, so he wanted to contact the Japanese in an attempt to make a comeback. Soon, Shi Yusan colluded with the Japanese agent Toihara to establish the Hebei Security Brigade to harass northern China. After the July 7 Incident, Shibu was organized into a first division. After the Battle of Xuzhou, Shi Yousan took the opportunity to gather the remnants of the army and expand the number of troops, and in 1939 Shi Yousan was appointed commander of the 39th Group Army and commander of the 69th Army.

At this time, Shi Yousan, because of his weak strength, kept in touch with the Eighth Route Army's Ji'nan Military Region. However, at the behest of Chiang Kai-shek, he has been creating friction with the Eighth Route Army. Not only did they arrest the Eighth Route Army's personnel for subsistence collection, but they also constantly attacked a small number of troops of the Eighth Route Army. The Eighth Route Army could not bear it, and after the negotiations failed, in 1940, it formed a large army to defeat Shi You's three main forces in one fell swoop.

The collapse of power again caused Shi Yousan to take the side and actively contact the Japanese. Signed a non-aggression pact with the Japanese commander stationed in Kaifeng and prepared to unite with the Japanese army to eliminate the Eighth Route Army. In addition, the New Eighth Army, where his former friend Gao Shuxun belonged, was also attacked by the Japanese army with the cooperation of the Japanese army, and suffered heavy casualties.

In November 1940, the Eighth Route Army telegraphed to wei Lihao, commander of the theater, that Shi Yousan was colluding with the Japanese, and that Gao Shuxun had also reported the matter. When Chiang Kai-shek heard that Shi Yousan was colluding with the Japanese, he was greatly angered and ordered Wei Li to get rid of Shi Yousan. After Receiving the order, Wei Lichao sent someone to carry out the matter with Gao Shuxun.

After deliberation, Gao Shuxun invited Shi Yousan to his headquarters as a guest in the name of reconciliation. Feeling isolated and helpless, Shi Yousan also had the desire and willingness to go to the high part. The two sides met in the high conference room, and while they were talking happily, Gao Shuxun's wife sent someone to inform Gao to go and discuss important matters. About half an hour later, the conference room suddenly broke into the four gunmen and tied the stone. That night, under the supervision of Gao Shuxun, Shi Yousan was buried alive.

During the warlord melee of the Republic of China, Shi Yousan repeatedly betrayed the old master, which was despised by people. His rule of the army was not strict, he harassed the people many times, he was very murderous, and before the Central Plains War, he had the title of "Living Yama King". During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he still wanted to borrow japan's hand to fight for turf and be a traitor, and his death can be said to be a death sentence.
