He joined the Party in 1974 and became deputy director of the Secretariat of the Standing Committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People's Congress in 1985. In January 1993, he took up the post of department and bureau, and successively served in the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the Structural Reform Commission, and the National Development and Reform Commission, and retired in 2011. From 2007 to 2017, he served as the chairman of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Chess Association and is now the honorary president.
