Self-driving suspension
For maximum safety and accountability, Autopilot features will be suspended if inappropriate use is detected.
Improper use is when you or another driver of your vehicle receives five "forced autopilot disengagements." A disengagement is when the automated driving system disengages for the remainder of the journey after the driver receives multiple audio and visual warnings of inattention.
A driver-initiated detachment is not considered inappropriate use, but rather what the driver expects. Keep your hands on the wheel and stay focused at all times.
No handheld devices are allowed when using Autopilot.
Autopilot features can only be removed by this suspension method, and they will be unavailable for about a week.
