According to leaked documents, a PC port of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is in development and will be completed by the end of this fiscal year.
Install Base forum user Aquamarine posted that a classified document leaked online after the ransomware attack on Insomniac details the studio's budget for the release of the game and future PC ports of the game.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will cost $4.6 million for PC porting, double the cost of the first installment, and development will be completed in fiscal year 2024, which means it will be released after March 2024. Considering that Insomniac will provide the full experience for PC players, the port will likely launch after all the PS5 DLC goes live.
While the upcoming Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PC port will be Insomniac's most expensive port, the Marvel's Spider-Man 3 PC port is expected to surpass it at a cost of $7 million in fiscal 2027.
Considering that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was developed from scratch for PS5, it's no surprise that its PC port budget has doubled. It's exciting to see how this port will further improve the game's graphics.
