"If I hadn't come to Yuexi to practice, I wouldn't have such an intuitive feeling for the cause of rural revitalization." It was only after we focused our lens on the village-based work teams and industry leaders that I understood in the in-depth interviews the fundamental purpose of our party to serve the people. This is the speech of Liu Ziyi, a 2019 journalism student at the School of Journalism and Communication of Anhui Normal University, at a symposium of college students in Yuexi County.
This summer, after conducting field research in a number of townships in Yuexi County, the teachers and students of the practice team were invited to the Yuexi County Rural Revitalization Bureau to discuss and exchange views with 5 representatives of the village-based task force leaders of Yuexi Huangwei Town, Yexi Town, Laibang Town, etc., to talk about the experiences of the grass-roots level, listen to the touching stories of poverty alleviation in the villages, and talk about the beautiful future of rural revitalization. Students from the university campus held in-depth discussions after personal field research, and they were more proud of the great achievements in poverty alleviation and more looking forward to the rural revitalization that was being carried out.
At the forum, representatives of cadres stationed in the villages from Huangwei Town, Yexi Town, Laibang Town, and other townships and towns in the county, jiao Yueping, Fang Shaochun, Chen Zhigao, Chu Zhaosheng, and Zhu Yu, respectively, introduced the rural outline and experience achievements of their work in the villages. Focusing on the village situation before and after the village and combined with their own experience in the village, they fondly recalled the deep friendship they had formed with the villagers during their work in the village, felt a lot of emotions about the party and the government's achievements in achieving the goal and task of poverty alleviation on schedule and achieved great results, and were full of great confidence in the rural revitalization cause that was in full swing.
At the same time, the team representatives also shared the harvest of the practical research. They said that only when they came to the frontline of the grass-roots level did they truly see with their own eyes the great achievements made in poverty alleviation, truly understand the arduous task of the cause of rural revitalization, truly feel the hardships of the work of the team members stationed in the villages and grass-roots cadres, and truly have an intuitive feeling of the great creation and diligence of the working people. The team members also said that in the future, they will contribute to the rural revitalization cause of their hometown through the combination of their professional learning.
It is reported that the practice team focused on the theme of rural revitalization and village-based task forces, went deep into more than 15 villages in 8 townships in Yuexi County to interview in-depth interviews with village-based task force members and industry leaders, and combined professional creation of integrated news works, which was highly recognized by local governments and enterprises.
