The Tatmadaw New Camp Panshan (စခန်းသစ်ကုန်း), about 1 mile from the town of Namkan in northern Shan State, was captured by the Taaw Aung Army (TNLA) and its coalition forces, as was the scene after the capture.

The camp is one of the more fortified camps of the Burmese army in the Nankan township area, with more than 100 officers and soldiers stationed, as well as artillery positions and helipads.
