This year marks the 45th anniversary of reform and opening up. Reform and opening up is a key move in determining the future and destiny of contemporary China. In order to build a modern socialist country in an all-round way and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) made "persisting in deepening reform and opening up" one of the five major principles that must be firmly grasped.
In 2013, General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee Xi→of the Communist Party of China, putting forward work arrangements around "comprehensively deepening reform", and emphasized on important occasions that "reform does not stop, opening up does not stop".
