Yellow sheep are "smuggled" into China every year, and there are especially many of them this year?

At the end of November and the beginning of December, a striking natural spectacle unfolded on the Sino-Mongolian border, when tens of thousands of yellow sheep crossed the border and snaked from Mongolia to the city of Arshan in Inner Mongolia, China. These special "stowaways", formerly known as the Mengyuan antelope, are first-class protected animals on the mainland, and their southward migration is a spectacular sight in winter.

This antelope has a graceful body and a golden coat in summer and gradually lightens in winter. They are not bound by national borders, they move freely between the two countries, they do not need passports, and they are carefully cared for. Although the Montenra comes to China every year to spend the winter, this year's tens of thousands of them are truly impressive.

The Montenra is a genus of bovidae and has a slender body with a body length of 1-1.6 meters, a shoulder height of 54-84 cm, and a weight of 25-45 kg. Males have long and curved horns, while females have no horns. They are keen to act in groups, migrating to the edge of the prairie and the desert steppes to the south every winter in pursuit of pastures in different seasons.

The montelope inhabits mainly arid grasslands and plains, and sometimes also wades into semi-deserts and alpine areas. Migration is in search of more abundant food resources, and can leap 6-7 meters on the way, and even up to 13 meters downhill. They run fast and can reach up to 90 km/h.

In recent years, these beautiful creatures have faced serious threats to their survival. The scale of the southward movement of the Mongolian antelope may be a response to the loss of pasture in Mongolia due to climate change. While some see it as a positive response to the mainland's environmental efforts, it also raises concerns about their safety on the move.

A large number of photos of the Montenese have appeared on social media, and people feel that the improvement of the environment has attracted them. However, there are also concerns about threats at the border, calling for safe passage to ensure they reach their breeding grounds safely.

This is not only a spectacular natural migration, but also a response to ecological changes.
