The latest MPV sales in December: BYD won the championship, and the Wei brand Gaoshan ranked 20th

In the second week of December 2023, the sales ranking of the MPV market was finally released! However, the Denza D9 is on this relatively flat list, and then it has come out on top of its fierce rival Buick GL8, which sold only 1,520 units this week.

Sena was third in the 1,392 sales list, while the Trumpchi M8 retreated to fourth place with 1,308 units sold. At the same time, Grevia sold 833 units, Trumpchi M6 sold 813 units, VOYAH Dreamer sold 766 units, Elysian sold 583 units, and Odyssey sold 554 units, all of which managed to squeeze into the top 10 with hundreds of units sold.

However, the sales performance of some models was not satisfactory. New cars like ZEEKR 009, Century and Volkswagen Weiran have only sold about 300 units, which seems to be relatively sluggish.

In terms of specific figures, the weekly sales of the Denza D9 are 1,555 units, which is only about 30 units more than the GL8, which is a good result. The main reason why this car is favored by the market is because of its advantages in comfort and space. Buick GL8 is a classic business vehicle, which has been in the leading position in sales in the MPV market, and in 2023, the continuous introduction of new energy models has also brought a great impact to it.

Toyota Sena and Trumpchi M8 both sold more than 1,300 units, which is a relatively good result. Grevia, Trumpchi M6, and VOYAH Dreamer have all sold more than 700 units, and overall, this is a relatively stable sales situation. It was followed by the VOYAH Dreamer, with sales reaching 766 units.

However, there are also some models that are in a state of applause, such as Hongqi HQ9, Gaoshan DHT PHEV, Hyundai Kusitu and other models, and there is still huge room for improvement. In comparison, the sales volume of the Trumpchi E8 and Hongqi HQ9 models is only about 440 units, while the Alpine DHT PHEV ranks 20th with sales of 233 units, and the sales performance is mediocre.

The Vito ranked 21st and the Ruifeng M3 ranked 22nd both sold about 200 units, while the Mercedes-Benz V-Class ranked 23rd, the Extreme Koala ranked 25th, and the Hechuang V09 ranked 27th, and several cars only sold more than 100 units.

In addition, models such as Song MAX New Energy, 35th, 36th, Refine M4, 37th, 44th, BYD D1, 45th, MAXUS 9th, and 47th, Jiahua, also sold double-digit sales.

All in all, there were few surprises in the MPV sales rankings this week. DENZA D9 won the sales championship in one fell swoop, showing its leading position in the market. In comparison, the models of other brands are more mediocre. However, it also reflects the fierce competition in this industry. Although the sales list does not reflect the full range of a car's capabilities, it can provide us with a reference to market trends.
