Beria was accused of committing serious crimes while in his leadership position and was removed from all positions.
In June 1953, Beria was arrested and executed.
His ambitions for power ended with the many accusations of his sin. Although Beria was likely to take power in the Soviet Union for a certain period of time, in the end his fate was determined by his own policy of slaughter and opposition from other top leaders.
Looking back at history, while Beria did gain considerable power and influence in the Soviet political system, his possibilities for holding power in the Soviet Union were extremely limited.
The power struggles between him and other top leaders, his brutal rule over the Soviet people, and his contradictions with Stalin ultimately deprived him of the opportunity to take control of the Soviet Union.
Beria's fate is a warning that the abuse of power and tyranny will eventually lead to its own collapse.
