At the press conference, the experts interpreted the relevant situation of Shouning's "World Longevity Township", and introduced the "Shouning Regional Longevity Index Research", the environmental mechanism of longevity in Shouning's "World Longevity Township", the detection of Shouning agricultural products, and the genetic and external influences of longevity, and led the on-site leaders and guests to explore the mystery of Shouning's longevity.
Marvin Formosa, director of the World Institute on Ageing, awarded the certificate of "World Longevity Township" to Zhang Yongsen, head of Shouning County Government, and Rosetta Farojia-Bonnilo, executive deputy director of the United Nations Institute on Ageing, awarded the plaque of "World Longevity Township" to Mei Chunqiang, deputy head of Shouning County Government. Marvin Formosa, Director of the United Nations Institute on Ageing, also signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Zhang Yongsen, head of Shouning County Government.

It is understood that by the end of 2021, there were 46,593 elderly people aged 60 and above, 34,751 elderly people aged 65 and above, 7,717 elderly people aged 80 and above, accounting for 16.56% of the elderly population over 60 years old, 1,949 long-lived elderly people aged 90 and above, accounting for 5.6% of the elderly population over 65 years old, and 44 centenarians, with 24.72 centenarians per 100,000 population. Including the ratio of old age to longevity, the vegetation index, air pollution index, surface water quality index, average life expectancy, per capita education years, Engel coefficient and other indicators of Shouning are in line with the evaluation standards of "World Longevity Township".
