The relevant responsible comrades of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee announced the decision of the CPC Central Committee: Comrade Xi Guohua will be appointed secretary of the party committee of CITIC Group.

According to official information, Xi Guohua, born in December 1963, is 60 years old, a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and is currently the vice chairman and general manager of CITIC Group. HK) and CITIC Limited, and Chairman of CITIC Financial Holdings Limited. He is a professor-level senior engineer and graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering of Shanghai Railway Institute with a master's degree in management and a doctorate degree in engineering.

The post of former party secretary of CITIC Group was held by 55-year-old Zhu Hexin. According to the information displayed on the official website of CITIC Group, Zhu Hexin is still the chairman of CITIC Group.

On the afternoon of November 27, 2023, CITIC Group held an enlarged meeting of the Party Committee. Appointed by the leaders of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the principal responsible comrades of the relevant cadres bureau of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee announced the decision of the CPC Central Committee to remove Comrade Zhu Hexin from the post of secretary of the party committee of the CITIC Group.
