Jiwei polder

Jiwei polder, located in Jiwei Town, Huayuan County, is one of the largest rural polders in the border areas of four counties and cities, including Songtao County in Guizhou Province, Huayuan County in Hunan Province, Jishou City and Fenghuang County. In the early 90s of the last century, the living standards of the masses in the border areas of the two provinces and four counties had been markedly improved, and people began to have surplus money in their hands.

Every third and eighth day of the lunar calendar is the day of Jiwei's rush. On the day of the rush, the villagers, men, women and children of the two provinces and four counties and cities spoke with different accents, sang Miao songs with different tones, and wore different costumes and rushed to Jiwei Town to gather.

Although most people speak Miao dialect, as soon as you open your mouth, you can tell which one is from Phoenix, which is from Songtao, which is from Jishou, and which is native to Huayuan. If they are in the mood and sing a Miao song, it will be easier to distinguish them.

There is little difference between the men's clothing of the Miao people's clothing, but the women's clothing is distinct.

The sisters from the direction of the phoenix, wearing blue and white checkered handkerchiefs, layered on top of each other, towering, like a crown, wore a cloud-shouldered top, with an embroidered lace and two piping on the shoulders, which formed a graceful arc of the top with the cross-shouldered combination, stretched and smooth.

The women of Huayuan are wrapped in black cloth or silk handkerchiefs, surrounded by layers in a spiral shape, the front of the forehead is wrapped into a plane, the back of the head is coiled into a trapezoid, and the end is a ribbon, flat on the forehead and eyebrows, wearing a chest-style blouse, with a black base cloth as a foil, highlighting the gorgeous embroidery ornaments, delicate lace and slender inlays, and some also roll the cuffs up, deliberately revealing the white sleeves of plain flowers.

The pine peach comes, the black silk handkerchief or cloth cloth on the head hovers upward, wrapped into a small and large flared high cylinder, and the hollow can be placed handkerchiefs and other items, and the upper body wears narrow sleeves, large collars, and cardigans, and then a pear-shaped high-waisted blue and white batik chest bib, simple and dignified.

Most of the people who came from Jishou did not wear Miao costumes, and most of them were businessmen, wearing fashionable dresses such as denim horns and stepping bodybuilding pants.

On the day of the rush, Jiwei Polder became a Miao Song Conference and Miao Costume Show in the border areas of the two provinces, which made people fascinated and dazzled. However, there's more to the Gilvet Polder than just to listen to songs and watch fashion shows, they have other things to do.

Like other rural polders, Jiwei polders also carry important functions for commodity trading.

The long and narrow old street is a place for buying and selling grains and fortune telling. Whole grains are fresh, and the most famous is Jiwei rice. The Jiwei rice is slender and slender, and as soon as the snakeskin pocket is opened, it exudes an attacking aroma, and the smell makes you have an appetite. People in the city buy a bag and go home, but the rice is not yet cooked, but the aroma fills half the street. If the thinning is properly controlled, you can eat two bowls without mixing vegetables.

The gentleman or fairy lady sits on a small bench prepared by himself, waiting for good men and women to come to divination, measure the eight characters, look at the face or count the day. Getting married and building a house, having children, praying for disasters... As long as people think it's a big deal, they will come and look at it. Older young people can't find their sweethearts, they are anxious, and they want to draw a marriage lot; The amorous young man knows a few objects, and when it comes to talking about marriage, he is still undecided, and he wants to come to the bar once and ask which direction of girlfriend is more suitable for him; The relationship between the husband and wife is bad, and they often speak ill of each other, and the man and the woman stretch out their hands to let the face help him see the marriage line, and infer whether the two still have a husband and wife relationship; children go out to make a living or take exams, and their parents will definitely let the fortune teller give him a test or a hexagram... Every rush day, the old street from morning to night hexagram sound, incense endlessly, lively and extraordinary. Is it spiritual? That's just people's sustenance.

The livestock farm is set up on the top of a small hill, and the villagers bring the pigs, cattle, and sheep to be sold from all directions, fat and thin, large and small, as long as they come skillfully and give up a reasonable price, they will definitely be able to buy what they want. No one can say what is reasonable, as long as you are willing. It doesn't matter if you can't talk about it, business is not benevolent.

At the corner of the main street, there is a huge flat land, and rows of sheds are built in an orderly manner, and the sheds are made of concrete to form a "long table", pots and pans, fish, meat, insects and shrimps, clothes, shoes and pans, and clothing, shoes and pans, each with an area. This is the farmers' market. A boss in the town saw a business opportunity and rented one of the greenhouses as a "video hall", watched it for a day, and played seven or eight videos such as gunfight films, martial arts films, and ghost movies in turn. The movie is thrilling, and people are still reluctant to give up until dark. Every time there is a rush day, the video hall is full every day, and it is really a small business to make a lot of money.

Main Street is a north-south street lined with stalls on both sides. There are fried poops, shoe nails, melons and fruits, plasters and farm tools, there is a wide variety of everything. The people in the mountains will dig in the mountains, plant in the fields, and fish in the river, and sell them to the main street for money, and then buy some daily life and production supplies from the field to take home, and each takes what he needs, which is particularly lively.

The middle of the main street is reserved as a pedestrian walkway, where men, women and children come and go. Three old men from Layi Village sat on the ground in an open field, smoking grass cigarettes and talking eloquently; a group of old men from Migou Village came to a wine stall with five or six drinks, and each scooped up two or two packs of grain roast, tilted their necks, the bottom of the bowl turned to the sky, the chatterbox was opened, and the singing voice was also opened. After they finished an old sentence, they sang a casual song for a while. It is talking about the hard days in the past, and singing about the beautiful life now. An old woman in Tam Shang Village made an appointment with her sister who married into Guniu Village to rush to the scene together, but she waited for half an hour at the three-way intersection and still saw no trace of her sister. After waiting for a while, my sister came from the direction of Guizhou. She muttered to her sister for a while, complaining that her sister made her wait in a hurry, and reminded her sister, you have to take advantage of the fact that you can still walk, catch a few more games, and on the day you can't walk, who will carry you?

Most of these old people have come from the old society, and they have already handed over the financial power to their children, and they are not here to do business, but to see relatives, old friends, and mountains, remember the bittersweet memories, feel the changes of the times, and share a happy life.

The main purpose of young men and women is not to do business, they are to the sidelines. In their hearts, this is much more important than buying and selling. Groups of flowery-dressed sisters walked leisurely over and over, wherever they went, the brothers they knew or didn't know in two or three ways followed, like thieves, they reached out and pinched their little hands or small waists, and gently pulled the corners of their clothes.

Most of the girls will scold: You wolf bites, what nonsense. There was an even more rude scolding:, rip your mother. At other times, it's strange to scold others for not being repaired, but at this time, the young men who are as strong as cattle are not only not angry, but also say with a hippie smile: I pull my mother-in-law. The tearing sister blushed like a little hen about to lay eggs. In fact, Ah Mei's scolding is not really scolding, but secretly observing who is handsome and strong among the two or three elder brothers. If she likes it, she will deliberately lead him to a sparsely populated place on the sidelines, whisper something to him, and ask him to send her home half-pushed. Once born and twice matured, and finally entered the palace of marriage. If she didn't like it, she naturally wouldn't give him the opportunity to "chat privately", and walked over again until she met Ruyi.

Xiao Fang of Baiyan Village has fair skin, a well-rounded face, and dark and shiny eyes, although she has not been groomed and dressed in any way, it is enough to shock the audience. She rushed several times in a row, and the young man along the way seemed to have lost his soul, and wanted to chase her endlessly, but she didn't take a fancy to any of them. Just when she was disappointed, the sea of Huluzhai appeared. This kid is handsome and strong. Xiao Fang finally ran into a pair of eyes. After that one, he electrocuted her, and she hooked his soul.

I don't know how many good things have been accomplished in this street, which is neither big nor small, not too long or short. For three years in junior high school, I studied at Ji Weimin Middle School, which was less than a kilometer away, but I rarely went to the polder.

On the day I joined the work, my grandmother said to me, "I haven't been to the show since you were born." ”

Yes, I haven't seen her go to the scene for as long as I can remember. She single-handedly brought us up, the family was too poor, and the money was spent on us. After receiving my first month's salary, I took her to catch up. On the field, my grandmother met a few old friends, and they held her hand tightly, and said with tears in their eyes, "Are you still alive?" She told them not to do this, and she said that she was fine and would come back often in the future.

When she got home, she said she was too tired to catch up... It was the last one she had ever rushed.
