Recently, the Greek reception hosted by the Hellenic Enterprise Bureau and undertaken by Xihua Group was held in Xihua Pavilion, Changning District.
Greek Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Stekulas, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Fragoyannis, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and Chairman of the Hellenic Enterprise Council Miloyani, Consul General of Greece in Shanghai George Patneu attended the ceremony, Weng Huajian, Deputy Mayor of Changning District and First-level Inspector, Qiu Aihua, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Hunan Provincial Government, and Li Chunping, Second-level Inspector of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal Government.
During the event, Xihua Group and its strategic partner Juneyao Airlines jointly cut the ribbon for the "Shanghai-Athens Direct Flight", and held the launch ceremony of the Greek Original Marathon Charity Run with the women's non-profit organization "She Unlimited". In addition, as a "6 days + 365 days" trading service platform for the Expo, Xihua Group set up "The Best of Greece" Greek product exhibition on the second floor of the Xihua Pavilion on the same day for Chinese and foreign guests to visit and experience.
China and Greece have a long history of friendly relations, and the fields of friendship and cooperation continue to expand. Greece has participated in the China International Import Expo for six consecutive years, and is the guest of honor at the second CIIE, with an average of more than 20 companies participating in the expo every year. This is the fourth time that a Greek government delegation has held a national reception at the Xihua Pavilion in Changning District during the CIIE.
In recent years, under the guidance of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai Municipal Government and the support of the Consulate General of Greece in Shanghai, with the Xihua Group as a bridge, Changning District has continuously enhanced exchanges with local governments and commercial and trade institutions in Greece. With the opening of the "Shanghai-Athens Direct Flight", the international cooperation between Changning District and Greece will be further expanded.
More than 100 Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs, representatives of business and trade institutions, friendly people and media representatives were invited to attend the Greek reception.
