#04 Le An Bridge

Today, it has become one of the 28 remaining ancient bridges in Xiamen.
This bridge was originally a wooden bridge, rebuilt during the Qing Guangxu years, completely changed to a stone structure without fences and flat beam bridges, east-west, with a total length of about eighteen meters, the piers are stone, a vertical and horizontal masonry built into a "Dan" shape, simple but interesting.

During the Guangxu period, su Zhenlu, a villager Su Qingfu's son, set up the "Gongshunhe" boat gang in Tianjin to engage in north-south freight, and the Su clan has since multiplied in Tianjin for eight or nine generations with a population of about eighty people, and Su Peicheng, a professor of the department of Chinese at Peking University, is the grandson of this sect.

This building, located on the shore of Huaiyuan Lake, is inscribed "I SuLu" by hong hongru (Hong Xiaochun), a famous scholar in southern Fujian, which means "I do my own thing", and has the meaning of returning to pu shou humble.
In 1926, Aotou Xiangxian and Singaporean overseas Chinese Jiang Jifu founded the private Juemin Primary School in Aotou, the school site was first in the Su Tingyu family's Jinshidi, and later in 1934, the European-style Western-style building "I Sulu" was built as a school building.
In 1949, Peng Jinli and Shi Jinquan, leaders of the underground party organization of the Communist Party of China (southwest Fujian), Jiang Caipei, then principal of Juemin Primary School, and teachers Su Dunhou, Lü Tingting, and Jiang Zunxian carried out underground revolutionary activities under the cover of teaching and using "I Sulu" as a base.
Returned overseas Chinese Jiang Jifu
After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Jiang Xunchu, the eldest son of Jiang Jifu, reopened the Juemin Primary School here, and "I Sulu" was still used as the building of the Juemin Primary School, and the school running expenses were borne by the "Aodong Hometown Association" in Singapore.
