Casemiro left the pitch at half-time with a hamstring injury and subsequent assessments suggest his injury will keep him out for several weeks.

On October 13, Casemiro sprained his ankle during a Brazilian national team match and recuperated for half a month. Casemiro returned to the Carabao Cup 3-0 defeat to Newcastle on 1 November and was substituted injured after 45 minutes.

The 31-year-old has made 12 appearances for United this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
