Goat Ping Longtan
The origin of the name Longtai is related to the spring.
Longtai homonym Longtan, there are two round hills in the north of Shanyangping Village in Longtai Town today, one large and one small two hills are connected, people are accustomed to call the big hill "Qiantou Dai", the small hill is called "Dai Shang", the trees on the Dai are towering to the sky, the connected large and small hills look like a sleeping turtle from a distance, there is a spring at the foot of "Dai", the ancestors named "Longtan". "Longtan" nourishes more than 400 households in Goatping. The origin of the name of Longtai also stems from this.
The "Longtan" spring pool is circular, about three meters in diameter, and the spring water is about two meters deep. The mouth of the spring in my memory is covered with flowers and vines, the cement of the spring wall is cool and gray after the erosion of time, and the bluestone at the water intake place by the spring is trampled on by people who come and go. "The spring is clear and cold from the stone", the spring water is infiltrated and filtered through the rock crevices, clean and clear, the water quality is sweet and refreshing, and it is rich in a variety of trace elements required by the human body, the fine sand at the bottom of the spring can be seen lying on the edge of the spring, and the water bubbles of "gurgling" are spit into pearls.
In the middle of summer, the mouth of the spring is covered with moss, thick green and heavy, and the people who work under the scorching sun drink a sip of the spring, and the coolness instantly spreads to the whole body, and a kind of comfort comes to their hearts. The overflowing spring water flows out of the spring and trickles into a stream, passing through the stage yard, beach, and field by the spring, and goes to the west river in the south of the village day and night along the ditch, the white clouds in the sky, the grass and moss on both sides of the ditch, the gravel all over the place, and the small water lotus leaves and flowers that bloom one after another, this bush, that cluster, are all reflected in the trickle. The stream holds hands with the clumps of vines and kisses the grass that flows into the West River. The clear West River turned into a white ribbon, and like a jade dragon, it broke through the canyon to the east of the village and soared eastward. In the middle of winter, the mouth of the spring is full of white gas, the ice crystals on the spring wall are shining, but the water in the spring is as clear as a mirror.
As for the earliest excavation of this spring, it is said that it was a long time ago. Goat Ping is a low-lying land surrounded by mountains, the water and grass are abundant, the ancient trees are towering, the earliest people who live in a radius of ten miles are the Li family of Donggou Village, and the Li family makes a living from the Goat Ping cutting and burning charcoal. Later, the goat Ping came to the Chen family and the Yang family, living in the mountains, looking at the mountain-shaped geography, thinking that Dai is a giant tortoise, guarding this place, the sheep intestine trail happens to be located at the neck of the turtle, passing through here, the turtle is bullied. The people surnamed Li were displeased, and said that if they did not let the passage be filled, the spring would be filled, so the two sides had to compromise, and now the trail is still muddy, but few people pass, and the turtle-shaped Dai has been sleeping quietly for several years, still quietly protecting this water and soil.
When I was a child, the spring was a witness to the daily life of the villagers and a platform for them to communicate.
