In fact, the exploration of AI in the mobile phone industry began with the official release of Honor Magic in 2016, which opened the door to mobile artificial intelligence OS. To put it simply, the device-side (Edge) refers to the device or node close to the data source, and the device-side AI large model is a large model generated after collecting personal data centered on individual users. Its potential comes from "individual user centricity". There are many large AI models on the market, but they are basically cloud models, and the advantage of such models is that they can collect more user data to achieve self-learning, so they have more parameters and have strong overall performance. However, the needs of each user are different, and the services provided by the cloud model can only meet our needs as much as possible in many cases, but it is difficult to truly meet our needs.
Honor's end-side AI big model is aimed at individual users, with 7 billion parameters, based on local data, through continuous collection of user habits and various data, to establish a personal knowledge base. In the demonstration video brought by Honor at the summit, Magic6 showed the performance like a real assistant, which can filter the videos and pictures we need from a large number of materials according to the user's voice commands, and then intelligently complete the film.
