The Indian army retreated but did not stop, and 80,000 soldiers were trapped

Recently, tensions between India and its neighbors have made the situation in the region extremely tense. At the same time, India is also facing serious epidemic challenges in China, which has attracted sustained media attention from the global media. Despite preliminary consensus between India and its neighbours on some issues, the two sides ceased and withdrew separately, seemingly calming down. However, India has not completely stopped its actions. According to the Global Times, in the Dalak area near the border, the Indian Air Force is still conducting military training, using aircraft including MiG-29 and Su-30 fighters. Previously, India has purchased 33 fighters from Russia, as well as S-400 anti-aircraft missiles and other surface-to-air main battle weapons. The Indian army also sent warplanes to patrol not far from the Sino-Indian border, and even landed Mi-17 helicopters at a field airfield in the town of Chinyalisaur, indicating that they are stepping up training and are always on call.

Although India and its neighbors have compromised and reached consensus at the strategic level, from a tactical point of view, they are operating in secret, actively expanding their armaments and strengthening the training of their personnel. This dual posture is alarming. According to the Economic Times of India, India has sent 80,000 soldiers to the highlands bordering China and India, and they are all transferred from other regions to the north. The total number of soldiers stationed by the Indian Fourteenth Army in the Dalak area is close to 70,000, but due to inconvenient transportation and long supply lines, the logistical support problem in the Dalak area has not been completely solved. Moreover, winters in the highlands are long and early, and the climate is changeable. Fighting in the plateau, the physical exertion of soldiers is extremely high, which puts forward higher requirements for logistics and soldiers' quality. At the same time, however, the Indian side has almost zero infrastructure other than the recent intensification of road construction.
