In 1979, Guo Baochang was rehabilitated, and in 1980, he filmed his first film work "The Mist of Goddess Peak", and the film carried out bold innovation and exploration in both form and content.
Guo Baochang chose the premiere of the film at his alma mater, Beijing Film Academy.

Guo Baochang's third wife is actor Liu Gege, who is from Qingdao, Shandong Province, 15 years younger than Guo Baochang. Liu Gege studied Peking Opera from an early age, and later became a member of the literary troupe, and came to Guangdong TV in the early 80s of the 20th century to develop.
The two had more contact, gradually became emotional, and began to cherish each other, but no one broke the layer of window paper.

The two went through the most difficult moments together, and later when filming "The Gate of the Mansion", the 60-year-old Guo Baochang was not as energetic as before, and many things were handled behind the back of Liu Gege, who was both her husband's work assistant and life assistant.

His sudden departure plunged his wife Liugge into grief, hoping that Liugge would take care of her body and get out of her pain as soon as possible. Guo Baochang's death also made his son feel unbearable.
On October 11, Guo Baochang passed away, respecting the wishes of himself and his family, not holding a farewell ceremony, and everything was simple; People can only miss him in previous videos and articles.
