Minecraft Minecraft announced that it had sold a staggering 300 million copies, making it the best-selling game of all time. Cloudera was awarded $240 million for cloud storage patents
On Friday, a Texas court ruled that data management software company Cloudera infringed three patents related to StreamScale's cloud-based data storage technology. StreamScale owns what it claims is a "cornerstone" of modern data storage for its "accelerated erasure coding" technology and accuses Cloudera's CDH open source data management platform of infringing its patent rights. Cloudera argued that its software worked differently than StreamScale inventions, invalidated the patents, and intended to challenge that ruling.
