Before entering Shu in 759, Du Fu's eyes and ears were the chaos in the world that caused the Sheng Tang to collapse in the Anshi Rebellion. With his immortal poem "Three Officials and Three Farewells", he personally witnessed the deep and severe pain of the people at the bottom: the death of the bride and her husband, the death of the mother and the son, the death of the old man and the old woman, and the bones of countless people who went to the battlefield finally disappeared in the Yellow River.
With horror and physical and mental exhaustion, Du Fu came to Chengdu from Chang'an in the turbulent displacement, and the wandering life of "one year old and four elements" finally came to an end. The Central Plains was in constant war and devastated, but Chengdu, which was in the rear, was prosperous and relaxed, enjoying peace and security. The strong contrast surprised Du Fu and made him even more pleased, and gave the poem "The famous city is uproar, and the flute is played between the springs." ("Chengdu Mansion")"

With the help of friends, Du Fu found a vacant land by the Huanhua River in Caotang Temple in the west of the city, built a thatched hut called "Caotang", and has since made a home in Chengdu. When he was a teenager, he was full of spirit and pride in "seeing the mountains and small mountains", but he has disappeared in the turbulent and chaotic world. Du Fu, who gradually reached the evening scene, began to enter a new peak of poetry creation after ushering in a stable life.

Everything in Shudi is naturally beautiful in the eyes of the poet. Walking by the river, the flowers are "thousands of flowers and low branches"; Spring comes night rain, "look at the red and wet places, flowers heavy on the official city"; Market songs, "This song should only be in the sky"; Tracing nostalgia, "long makes heroes tearful"... Even if you just sit idly in the grass hall with nothing to do, you can chant "the window contains the thousands of autumn snows in the West Ridge, and the door is moored to the East Wu Wanli Ship", and think about thousands of years in the bucket room.

Although Chengdu has been a famous city since the Qin and Han dynasties, it was not until Du Fu entered Shu that Chengdu's natural scenery and humanistic customs attracted more attention from the Central Plains, and since then "from ancient poets to Shu". Chengdu's magnanimity created Du Fu's immortal masterpiece, and Du Fu also made Chengdu attract countless yearnings since then, Chengdu and Du Fu fulfilled each other and achieved each other, as the Ming Dynasty scholar Li Changxiang said, "Shaoling poetry, Shu landscape exhalation; Shu landscape, have to exhale Shaoling poetry."

Unlike Du Fu, the female poet Xue Tao grew up in Chengdu and rarely traveled. In addition to two brief exiles to the frontier areas, plus one to Zizhou and one to Jiangling, Xue Tao lived within a few square kilometers of Chengdu throughout his life. The female poet sits in her own world, watching the flowers bloom and the tide comes.
After losing his father at the age of ten, Xue Tao and his widowed mother An Shi moved to Huanhuaxi. The scenery that Xue Tao saw at that time was no different from what Du Fu saw thirty years ago, the same as 100,000 households in the city and two or three families here. Although the grass hall built by Du Fu has fallen down because of the empty space of people, the "pillars remain", and you can also admire the remains of the autumn wind of the thatched huts.

Xue Tao lived on the banks of Huanhua River until he was fifteen years old, and was summoned to Fuzhong by the order of Wei Gao, the envoy of Xichuan Jiedu, and became a music trick. Day and day silk bamboo orchestra, laughter, Xue Tao could not hear the sound of running water in Huanhua Stream. For more than ten years of music trick career, Xue Tao, who was appreciated when he was favored and exiled when he fell out of favor, was spoiled and humiliated by his fate.
By the time she finally got out of her nationality and was able to leave the shogunate, the girl who was in her old age had become a 27-year-old celebrity, "Wanli Bridge Side Girls' School Book". Xue Tao returned to Huanhua Creek to live again, and planted pipa flowers in front of the door. Xue Tao uses wood hibiscus skin as raw material and begonia flowers as dye to make bright and elegant "Xue Tao paper".
But even with the beauty of "rabbit walking Wuchi people quiet, full stream red song song chu ("Picking Lotus Boat")", Xue Tao finally left after living on the bank of Huanhua River for twenty years. In 827, Xue Tao moved out of Huanhuaxi and moved to Bijifang in the city, where he built a bard building for himself.

Xue Tao retired to the Poetry Building, wearing a female crown costume, that is, the costume of a female Taoist priest to "rest on it" - but the "retreat" may not be accurate, the Poetry Building is not lonely and cold, but people come to the door all year round to ask for views or poetry. Without it, Xichuan Xue Tao at this time has long been famous in the sea. Even if he retired to Xiaolou, he often sang poetry with the elderly Liu Yuxi and the young Du Mu.
Being on the top of the bard, you can hear the laughter of children in peacetime, and you can also hear the cry of the people when Nanzhao attacks. Xue Tao slowly grew old in the turmoil of peace and war.

Chengdu is not Su Shi's hometown, but Chengdu almost became Su Shi's final life. From the beginning of his twenties to Chengdu, Su Shi and Chengdu cut the complex of constant confusion, which ran through his life of crossing the river and the sea.
At the age of seven, Su Shi knew the infinite scenery on the Shu Palace and the Maha Pond in the story. Forty years later, Su Dongpo, who lived in Huangzhou, wrote a "Song of the Cave Immortals" and recorded this deep impression in the preface.
In 1055, Su Shi, who was nearly twenty years old, came to Chengdu with his younger brother Su Zhi under the leadership of his father Su Xun to meet Zhang Fangping of Chengdu Zhizhou. Zhang Fangping regarded the Su brothers as a wizard as soon as he saw them, and personally wrote a letter of recommendation to Ouyang Xiu in the dynasty. The trip to Chengdu opened the eyes of the young Su Shi, and the next year he went to Bianjing to take the scientific examination for higher junior high school scholars, and became famous as a Beijing teacher overnight.

When Su Xun died in 1066, Su Shi and Su Zhi sent their father's coffin to Meishan and mourned for three years. This was the last time Su Shi returned to Sichuan in his life, during which he visited Chengdu and saw a lot of things. The Daci Temple in the city was built in the Tang Dynasty, and the sixth master of the temple, Master Baoyue, was Su Shi's brother Su Weijian, who would visit the temple whenever he came to Chengdu.
Although Su Shi lived in Chengdu for a short time in his life, he always had Chengdu between the lines of his poems. Some directly embed "Chengdu" into the title of the poem: "Cixu Chong Yuanyun Sent to Chengdu Gaoshitun Jurisdiction", "Chengdu Jin Shi Du Siambo Ascended to the Family Name Law to Come to Wuzhong", "Sent Professor Anguo to Chengdu", "Send Damon to Chengdu Yujian General Lao Yan" ... Some have repeatedly mentioned: "Where is Chengdu when you return by chai?" "Chengdu painters open ten eyebrows, but Hengyun and the moon compete for novelty" "Forget that Chengdu has been coming for ten years, because Jun is not exempt from thinking"... Chengdu is really impressive to Su Shi.

At the age of sixty-five, Su Shi was pardoned from Hainan to the mainland, and he had already been allowed to "go to the dynasty to serve Lang", raise the "Chengdu Jade Bureau View", and die in the prosperous and wealthy homeland, but on the way back to Sichuan, he fell ill and died in Changzhou, Jiangsu, which is really sighing.
Even so, Chengdu's Supo Bridge, Dongpo Avenue, Dongpo Road Metro Station... But there are traces of Su Shi everywhere. Su Shi did not return after setting out from Chengdu, but his mark on Chengdu, as his poem says, "should be like flying on slush." ”
