At this conference, the National Space Administration announced that Chang'e-5 lunar scientific research samples will be open to international applications, and scientists from all over the world are welcome to jointly research and share the results.

Established in 2001, the "Lawrence Team Award" is one of the two major awards issued by the International Academy of Astronautics every year, aiming to recognize aerospace project teams that have made outstanding achievements in the field of aeronautics, mainly in three aspects: technological innovation, scientific discovery and international cooperation.

At present, the National Space Administration has completed the distribution of 6 batches of 258 lunar samples with a total of 77.68 grams to Chinese scientists. He has published more than 70 papers in authoritative journals at home and abroad. Through the study of lunar samples, it was determined that the formation time of young basalt was 2.030 billion years, which is 800 million years longer than previously understood.
