Armenia repents of not starting out! I didn't buy Chinese equipment, and I was beaten to the ground!
The conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan led to the crushing defeat of Armenia, and one of the important reasons was that they were fooled by India into not buying Chinese military equipment. This wrong decision on arms purchases put Armenia at a disadvantage in the fight.
In the decisions on military equipment over the past few years, Armenia has gone the wrong way. The Su-30SM fighters and ATAGS self-propelled howitzers they purchased did not play a role in this conflict because they were not suitable for the combat environment of this small area. Azerbaijan, by contrast, has cleverly purchased Turkey's TB2 drones and Israel's Harlop patrol missiles, which are better suited to the current pattern of warfare.
Despite the small combat area in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, rocket artillery using small and medium-sized UAVs and high coverage fire is very effective in this small area. Azerbaijan successfully used Turkey's TB2 drones and Israel's Harop patrol missiles in the last battle, weapons that have a clear advantage in the war environment in this region. However, Armenia did not learn the lessons of the last time and chose the wrong equipment, which led to their serious suppression on the battlefield.
The difference in the effectiveness of UAVs and rocket artillery is also one of the reasons for the Armenian fiasco. Azerbaijani drones and rocket artillery became their artifacts for defeating Armenia. The Chinese Wing Loong UAV showed its superiority in prolonged surveillance, silent standby and precision strikes, successfully destroying the Azerbaijani TB2 UAV. And the Indian artillery purchased by Armenia did not work, and the rocket artillery of Azerbaijan formed an effective suppression of Armenia.
Armenia deeply regretted the outcome of this conflict, realizing that the wrong arms purchase decision had deprived them of the fighting advantage. This failure should serve as a warning to remind other countries to choose carefully in military equipment decisions to ensure the adaptability and advanced nature of equipment. For Armenia, they regret it, but it is also an important lesson that they hope they can learn from it and make smarter decisions for the future.
