Daqi was born in 1934 in Huaide County, Fufeng Mountain, Jilin Province, formerly known as Qi Fujun, Chinese mainland actor, producer and director. In 1979, the color feature film "Ji Hongchang" starring Daqi was rated as one of the best feature films in the third Popular Film Hundred Flowers Awards. In 1990, he gained attention for playing the role of King Feng in the costume drama "Fengshen List".
The stage name Daqi was given to himself after he made his first film, which is homonymous with "Daqi". In 1982, Daqi was transferred to Fujian Film Studio as the deputy director, directing and starring in the movie "Stubborn Woman" and the TV series "Bridge Longbiao".
In 1990, Daqi co-starred with Lan Tianye, Fu Yiwei, Tang Zhenzong and other actors in the TV series "Fengshen List", and he subversively starred in the King of Tang, which impressed the audience and was regarded as a classic.
