Like Sun Haiyang, who found the missing child, Du Xiaohua is also one of the prototypes of the movie "Dear". In March 2011, his 6-year-old son, Du Houqi, disappeared in front of a wooden cabinet factory in Nancun, Dingdulonggui Village, Xingsheng Town, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia. Since then, he has traveled extensively to find his son, but to no avail.

"If you don't give money, your son will die", Du Xiaohua, the prototype of "Dear", was almost scammed

The 10-year-old boy lied that Du Xiaohua's son intended to defraud him.

Du Xiaohua told The Paper that on the evening of September 25, he suddenly received a WeChat friend application with the remark "Your son is in my hands." After applying through the other party's friend, the other party sent him a text message saying: "Your son is in my hands, if you don't obey my orders, he may die." Du Xiaohua asked the other party to send him a photo of Du Houqi to confirm, but the other party sent a photo of Peng Wenle, a kidnapped child in Qianjiang, Hubei Province, when he was a child. Du Xiaohua said: "At that time, I immediately recognized that this was a photo of Peng Wenle, and this person was probably a liar."

Then, the other party said: "You transfer me 1,000 yuan, and I will return your son to you." When he heard Du Xiaohua say that money was not a problem, the other party raised the price to 8,000 yuan, as long as Du Xiaohua transferred money to him, he sent Du Houqi's photo to him, and promised to send Du Houqi to Du Xiaohua. Du Xiaohua pushed the WeChat account of Shangguan Zhengzheng, a volunteer for trafficking, to the other party on the grounds that WeChat transfers were restricted, and said that this WeChat account was his wife and she could transfer money.

After adding Shangguan Zhengyi's WeChat, the netizen asked for a transfer of 2,000 yuan. Shangguan Zhengyi lied that he could not transfer money to him, and asked the other party to try transferring money to "her", and if "she" could receive it, he could transfer it. So, the netizen first transferred 1 cent to Shangguan Zhengyi, and then transferred 10 yuan. Subsequently, Shangguan Zhengyi asked the other party to send real information on the grounds that the transfer required the other party's real name and ID card. What Shangguan Zhengyi didn't expect was that the other party really sent his name and ID photo. Since then, Shangguan Justice has obtained information that this netizen is located in Huaihua, Hunan through location sharing.

The next morning, Du Xiaohua reported the case to the Huaihua police, and the other party asked him to report the case at his location. Subsequently, Du Xiaohua reported the case to the Yushan County Public Security Bureau in Jiangxi Province. According to Du Xiaohua, after receiving the report, the Yushan County police attached great importance to the case and immediately dispatched police forces to Huaihua, Hunan Province to investigate. After preliminary investigation, it was the 10-year-old son of local resident Xia Moumou who used Xia's mobile phone to defraud parents looking for relatives. The police handling the case have criticized and educated Xia and ordered Xia to strengthen discipline.

Du Xiaohua and Shangguan Justice reminded parents to remain vigilant when encountering similar situations and beware of telecommunications network fraud targeting parents seeking relatives.
