On September 18th, the establishment and unveiling ceremony of "China Association of Automobile Manufacturers Barcelona Information Service Center and China Central Inspection - China Automotive Europe Center (Spain Branch Center)" was held in the main venue of Barcelona, Spain and the Beijing branch of China. Representatives of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Barcelona, the Trade and Investment Agency of the Catalan Government, the Economic Promotion Agency of the Barcelona Municipal Government, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, CCIC and its affiliated China Automotive Research Institute and CCIC Europe attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. More than 50 guests, including representatives of Spanish Chinese Enterprises Chamber of Commerce, representatives of Chinese and European vehicle enterprises and industry organizations, attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Hu Aimin, Acting Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Barcelona, Joan Romero, Director General of the Trade and Investment Agency of the Catalan Government, and Mario Rubert, Director of the Economic Promotion Agency of the Barcelona Municipal Government, warmly congratulated the establishment of the two centers and looked forward to further deepening the friendship and cooperation between China and Spain through this cooperation.
Fu Bingfeng, President of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, delivered a speech, saying that globalization has played a major role in promoting the vigorous development of the automotive industry, and the establishment of the two centers marks the active exploration of internationalization in China's automobile industry, and also demonstrates the willingness of China and Europe to cooperate in the automotive field.
Wang Hong, member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of CCIC, delivered an online speech, pointing out that as the only central enterprise in China with comprehensive quality services such as "inspection, testing, certification, standards, and measurement" as its main business, CCIC attaches great importance to the development of the transportation sector and will fully support the two centers to become boosters and new forces for the global development of the automotive industry, and contribute to the sustainable development of the automotive industry in China and Europe.
Wang Rui, director of CAIC, said in his speech that under the leadership of CAIC, CAIC and CCIC Europe established the China Automotive Europe Center. The establishment of the two centers will become an important bridge for Chinese automotive enterprises to the European market, provide new opportunities and platforms for China-EU automotive industry cooperation, and promote the sustainable development of the global automotive industry. Subsequently, the relevant responsible persons of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, CAERI and CCIC Europe jointly unveiled the two centers, announcing the official establishment of the Barcelona Information Service Center of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the China CIIC-China Automotive Europe Center (Spain Branch).
During the ceremony, representatives of all parties had in-depth exchanges and discussions on the future prospects of China-EU automotive industry cooperation, mutually beneficial and win-win opportunities, and the importance of technological innovation.
