G219 National Highway runs from Kanas in northern Xinjiang in the north to Dongxing City on the Sino-Vietnamese border in Guangxi in the south, covering the border areas of Xinjiang, Tibet, Yunnan and Guangxi, connecting about 90 counties and cities in western China, with 47 ethnic groups living along the way, and close to 13 land neighbors in western China.
The 10,065-kilometer G219 is the main artery connecting the western border of the mainland, the rich landscape and rich folk customs are all amazing, and it is also the first highway in China to break through 10,000 kilometers, which is called the "national avenue" that is truly a must-drive in this life by self-driving travel enthusiasts.

The China G219 Tourism Promotion Alliance was established on December 5, 2020 in Nanning, Guangxi, under the guidance of the Department of Resource Development of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, by the culture and tourism departments of four provinces and regions of Xinjiang, Tibet, Yunnan and Guangxi.
On September 28, 2021, the second annual meeting of the "China G219 Tourism Promotion Alliance" was held in the Kanas Scenic Area of Xinjiang, and the Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps joined the alliance.
On March 16, 2023, the third annual meeting of "China G219 Tourism Promotion Alliance" was held in Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and Brother Chu participated in this annual meeting (I am the one in red on the left of the picture below).
On September 20, 2023, the fourth annual meeting of "China G219 Tourism Promotion Alliance" was held in Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture (Bozhou), Xinjiang.

I was invited to give a 15-minute finale speech as a representative of the cultural tourism industry, and based on the practical experience of more than 320 people who have organized 6 sessions and 7 teams since 2019 to realize the great dream of driving around China, I proposed to jointly promote the idea of building G219 into a world-class highway IP from the official and private sectors.
From the official level, the cultural and tourism departments of the five provinces and autonomous regions of Xinjiang, Tibet, Yunnan, Guangxi and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps jumped out of their respective acres and three-point plots, huddled in groups, strengthened publicity, increased linkage, and officially organized the whole process of crossing activities from Kanas to Dongxing or from Dongxing to Kanas, building G219 into a world-class highway IP.
The private level is market-driven. Gobar.com is willing to be a pioneer, launch the "National Road Story" road trip commercial brand, take the lead in creating an industrial structure of "cultural and plastic tourism/travel and road / cultural tourism + traffic and tourism integration", and sort out and plan G219 series road travel products, cultural and creative products, and transportation products.
It is expected to receive the guidance, support and close cooperation between upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain formed by the Cultural and Tourism Department of Xinjiang, Tibet, Yunnan, Guangxi and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and the upstream and downstream enterprises of the industrial chain, so as to jointly build the G219 cultural tourism brand and the economic development along the route.

The G219 Xinjiang section, with a total length of 3,216 kilometers, passes through 8 prefectures and 7 ports, connecting and radiating 6 5A-level scenic spots and 29 4A-level scenic spots, from the pure land Kanas to the majestic Kunlun Mountains, from vast grassland forests to deep alpine valleys, with thousands of flowers and meadows in spring, mountains and clouds in summer, golden autumn layers of forests, and ice and snow in winter.

The Tibet section of National Highway 219 has a total length of 3,486 kilometers, starting from Ritu County in Ali Prefecture, crossing the four cities of Ali, Shigatse, Shannan and Nyingchi, passing through 5 8,000-meter snowy peaks, 19 plateau lakes and 20 large glaciers, and finally leaving Tibet from Chayu County in Nyingchi. Along the way, you can enjoy the world's highest mountains, the most beautiful lakes, the most beautiful wetland glaciers, and the most pristine primeval forests.

National highway G219 passes through Yunnan's Nujiang, Baoshan, Lincang, Puer, Xishuangbanna, Honghe, Wenshan and other seven prefectures and cities, along the route has many world-class cultural tourism resources, travel G219 Yunnan section can be away from the hustle and bustle of the city, indulge in the mountains and rivers, and integrate into "there is a life called Yunnan".
