Breakdancing: The contestants don't know what music the DJ will play
Venue: Hangzhou Gongshu Canal Sports Park Gymnasium
Number of gold medals: 2
Breakdancing is a new addition to the Hangzhou Asian Games and the Paris Olympics. So, what kind of sport is breakdancing? Why become a new member of the Olympic and Asian Games family?
Breakdancing originated in the 70s of the 20th century, rooted in American hip-hop culture, as a form of street dance. This is a type of technical street dance that is mainly based on personal style, and most of the movements are completed close to the floor, such as fast foot movement with hands on the ground, body rotation, and inverted freeze frame, so it is also called "floor dance". For breakdancing, it is generally called B-boy (boy) or B-girl (girl).
In 2020, the IOC agreed to add breakdancing to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. In the same year, the 39th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia confirmed that breakdancing was added to the Hangzhou Asian Games.
The breakdancing competition of the Hangzhou Asian Games consists of two events, men's and women's, which are performed in the form of red and blue in turn. Each side completes a 1 battle, called a round. Each performance between the two sides must not exceed 60 seconds.
The exciting thing is that the contestants do not know what music the live DJ will play before the game, so the competition has a very strong randomness. The opponents should choose the appropriate dance moves to express themselves at the moment they hear the music, and sometimes observe the opponent's style and difficulty to make targeted responses.
The Chinese team sent two men and two women to the Asian Games, Liu Qingyi and Zeng Yingying in the women's group, and Shang Xiaoyu and Qi Xiangyu in the men's group, with an average age of less than 23 years old.

On the women's side, Liu Qingyi, born in 2005, is the favorite to win the event, winning two titles at this year's Olympic Points Championships in Kitakyushu, Japan, and Montpellier, France, before winning silver at last year's World Championships in South Korea. This little girl who always wears a ponytail, with her strong stage appeal and powerful routine skills, has repeatedly achieved great results in international competitions in the past two years, and has rapidly grown into an existence that cannot be ignored in the world's breakdancing circle.
In addition, the 30-year-old Zeng Yingying is also on the Asian Games list, her performance focuses on the combination of dance and music, and is known for its narrative, but judging from the current international results, it is still necessary to give it a shot to win a medal at the Asian Games.

Rattan ball: Volleyball kicked by feet
Venue: Jinhua Sports Center Gymnasium
Number of gold medals: 6
Originated in Malaysia, rattan ball is a traditional sport in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries, and is widely popular in Southeast Asia.
Rattan ball is a sport that uses ankles, knee joints and other parts to clamp and top the ball at the same time to prevent the ball from landing, similar to the mainland folk kicking shuttlecock. Rattan ball is somewhat similar to volleyball, except that the foot is used instead of the hand, so it is also called "kicked volleyball". The balls of the rattan ball are round hollow balls, woven from natural rattan or plastic strips.
At the 9th Asian Games in New Delhi in 1982, rattan ball was unveiled as a performance event, and at the 11th Asian Games in Beijing in 1990, rattan ball became an official competition.
