On the morning of September 22, the sail training ship "United" of the Peruvian Navy successfully completed a five-day goodwill visit to Shanghai and left a military port pier in Shanghai.

Since the visit of the "United" sail training ship on the 18th, the figures of friendly exchanges between the officers and men of the Chinese and Peruvian navies can be seen everywhere in the dock, deck, and cabin, and they have jointly merged into a beautiful scenery in the military port. This visit is also the second visit to China by a Peruvian naval vessel in 15 years.

"It's incredible that the port has changed so much." During the visit exchange, the words of Luigi Valencia, deputy captain of the ship, attracted the attention of reporters.

It turned out that 17 years ago, when Luigi Valencia was a cadet at the Peruvian Naval Academy, he visited Shanghai with the training ship "Moyando" of the Peruvian Navy. Today, he has grown into an excellent commander.

"Feeling so much! Over the years, China's naval construction has made extraordinary achievements, with stronger and more advanced warships and more modern ports, and has become an important force on the world naval stage. Luigi Valencia said sincerely.

Like Luigi Valencia, on board the sail training ship "United", there are also combat chief Sergio Oluitine and mechatronic chief Diego Uemula.

Among them, Diego Ouemoura is visiting China for the third time. He visited Shanghai twice as a cadet with the training ship Moyando. "When we visit as trainees, we visit more often. As a naval officer, I have had more in-depth exchanges with my Chinese naval colleagues. We admire their strict style and discipline and first-class professional skills. Diego Ouemoura said.

Not long after the visit, the exchange of visits and professional and technical exchanges between officers and ships of the Chinese and Secret Navy began in a hot manner. During the event, the crews of the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on professional issues such as crew training, sail maintenance, navigation plan formulation, and offshore meteorological support.

"Hearing the sincere experience sharing of the Chinese crew, I remembered my first Chinese friend." At the professional and technical exchange site, Sergio Oluitine talked about his past exchanges with the Chinese Navy.

It turned out that in 2020, Sergio Oluitine had spent a year and a half of professional study in a European country with a Chinese naval officer. The Chinese naval officer was very experienced and very friendly, which left a deep impression and good memories on him. Sergio Oluitine said that he hopes to make more Chinese naval friends and have more opportunities for learning and exchange this time.

In the evening, on the deck of the sail training ship "Union", with the whistle of the Peruvian naval commander, cadet Sivan and his comrades put on professional protective equipment and quickly climbed the mast to begin the demonstration. Although the mast was tens of meters high, Sivevan and his comrades worked together to complete the task safely and efficiently in a short time. The neat skills and professional movements attracted warm applause from the officers and men of the Chinese Navy present.

After the demonstration, Xi Vancouver excitedly told reporters: "I am honored to be the representative of the cadets to demonstrate the training results to the Chinese Navy. I hope that like my seniors and predecessors, I can grow into an excellent naval officer and visit China again. ”

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Peru and the 52nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. A leader of a naval base in the Eastern Theater, who undertook the task of receiving and exchanging the visit, said: "As like-minded good friends, we hope that the friendly relations between China and Peru and the two militaries can cross mountains and seas and pass on the torch." USS Union Captain Arce said: "I hope that the future of our two countries will be as the saying in the Chinese - 'Together in the boat, sail away.'" ”
