Nanning, September 19 (People's Daily News) -- The 20th China-ASEAN Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "East Expo") was held in Nanning from September 16 to 19, and this exhibition resumed the "charm city" exhibition area of ASEAN countries for the first time after the epidemic. ASEAN countries carefully arranged the exhibition area and launched special songs and dances, attracting a large number of visitors to stop and admire.

The "Charming Cities" of this year's East Expo are Hangzhou City, Brunei Begawantu City, Phnom Penh City, Cambodia City, Central Kalimantan Province in Indonesia, Mandalay City in Myanmar, Tuguegarao City in the Philippines, Singapore, Chanthaburi Province in Thailand, Son Luo Province in Vietnam, Laos set up a centralized display of previous "Charming Cities", Malaysia showcased tourism culture and aviation industry development.

The Hangzhou exhibition area takes "a city of innovation and vitality, a famous historical and cultural city, and a city of ecological civilization" as the main line, and sets up one theme exhibition area and seven characteristic sections to show the world the historical heritage and modern vitality of Hangzhou.

In the Kalimantan province exhibition area of Indonesia's "City of Charm", local talawang totems can be seen everywhere. Indonesia's Central Kalimantan news anchor Rabeka Putri served as Tourism Promotion Ambassador Putri Putri (Putri Pariwisata) dressed in traditional costumes to introduce visitors to the tourist attractions and folk culture of Central Kalimantan. Rabeka Putri told reporters that the East Expo is an international event, and she hopes that through this exhibition, people around the world can understand Indonesia, understand Central Kalimantan, travel to Central Kalimantan, and drive local tourism.

Since the 2nd East Expo in 2005 set up the theme of "Charming Cities", a total of 174 "Charming Cities" from China and 10 ASEAN countries have been displayed, and 219 pairs of sister cities have been formed by the two sides.
