The Xiongnu, a steppe tribe of unknown origin, once unified the Mongolian plateau, conquered neighboring ethnic groups, and established state power.

According to historical records, at the end of the 3rd century BC, the Xiongnu leader called "Shan Yu", divided into left and right, becoming one of the most powerful nomadic empires at that time.
However, twenty-four years after the Eastern Han Dynasty, the north and south were divided, with the northern Xiongnu constantly moving west, and the southern Xiongnu annexing the Han.
At the turn of the two Jin Dynasties, the Southern Xiongnu established the State of Han and the State of Former Zhao.
Not only that, the Xiongnu are also a threatened people in history, and have had many fierce wars with the Han Dynasty and the Wei and Jin Dynasties.
The most famous of these is in 91 AD, when the Han Dynasty general Huo Qubing led an army and finally defeated Dong Zhuo, the commander of the Northern Xiongnu, in a desperate situation, defending national security.
