In autumn, walking into the Memorial Hall of the Western Road Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in Gaotai County, the Monument to the West Road Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army stands majestically under the shade of pines and cypresses. Buried in the park are the loyal bones of more than 3,000 revolutionary martyrs, including Dong Zhentang, commander of the Red Fifth Army, and Yang Keming, director of the Political Department, who died in the bloody battle on Hexi.
"The noble spirit of the Western Road Army's arduous struggle and tenacious indomitability has composed a heroic chapter that touches the heavens and the earth in the vast land of Hexi." In the affectionate narration of the docent, the interview group remembered the revolutionary martyrs and continued the red bloodline through physical objects, pictures and videos.

According to Zhu Dezhong, director of the Memorial Hall of the Western Road Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, the museum has invested 104 million yuan to improve infrastructure and hardware transformation and upgrading, providing a good place for activities to inherit red genes. In the past four years, the memorial hall has received a total of 3.563 million tourists and provided 22,000 free explanations for tourists.
Starting from the Memorial Hall of the Western Road Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, it was not long before I came to the Gaotai Cadre College in Gansu. The college covers an area of 150 acres, with a total construction area of 39,600 square meters, and has 6 functional buildings and ancillary facilities such as a comprehensive education exhibition center, student apartments, and catering center, which can accommodate 500 people for training at the same time.
"The college has carefully built 22 red on-site teaching points and built 18 on-site teaching lines with different characteristics. At the same time, it has strengthened exchanges and cooperation with colleges and universities, cadre colleges and party education bases inside and outside the province, and has successively reached cooperation intentions with 18 units, promoting the formation of an all-round, multi-channel and in-depth cooperative school-running pattern. The relevant person in charge of the Gansu Gaotai Cadres College said that at present, the college has held 330 training courses and party spirit practice activities, training more than 20,000 people.
Since its establishment in September 2019 with the approval of the provincial party committee, the Gansu Gaotai Cadre College has taken the history of the Western Road Army as the biggest feature of party spirit education, deeply excavated heroic deeds, created characteristic teaching resources with comparative advantages, and comprehensively improved the quality of education and training. In 2022, the college successfully passed the quality assessment and acceptance of the Central Organization Department, ranked among the national cadre party education platform, and became one of the 72 party education cadre colleges in the country.
Based on the advantages of the county's red cultural resources, promoting the integrated development of red tourism and patriotic education, Gaotai County has carefully planned and vigorously implemented, the construction of cultural facilities has been increasingly perfected, mass cultural activities have flourished, and economic and social development has been revitalized.

As of August 15, the number of tourists received by the scenic spot in 2023 exceeded 2 million, an increase of 28.45% over the same period in 2019.
The influx of tourists has driven the development of accommodation and catering in the countryside around the scenic area. "From July to August this year, our more than 40 rooms were almost full, and the average daily operating income reached more than 9,000 yuan." Nantai Village is only separated from Zhangye Colorful Danxia Scenic Area by one road. In order to make up for the shortcomings of tourist accommodation and improve tourists' satisfaction, in August this year, the local government evaluated and scored 41 village inns in the village according to the "five standards" such as good operation and management and good facilities, and confirmed the registration and listing for publicity.
"Star rating further improves the service quality and reception level of the inn." Kang Caiyun, owner of the village inn, said.
Nantai Village star rating is the epitome of Zhangye's exploration of the integrated development of agriculture and tourism. In recent years, Zhangye City has made full use of rich tourism resources, enriched rural business forms, and taken a new road of integrated development of agriculture and tourism, injecting new vitality into the development of rural tourism.
