Zhang Daxin "Yellow Mountain Cloud Pine"
Zhang Daxin, born in Chuansha, Shanghai in 1917, died in Shanghai He'an Primary School in 1931, entered Wusong Middle School, and developed a strong interest in art. In 1933, at the age of 16, he studied with the Italian sculptor Herbert at the Xujiahui Catholic Church to learn the basic plastic art of Western painting, and in 1934, he entered the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts to study drawing. At the age of 19, he worshipped Jin Meisheng as a teacher to learn New Year painting, at the age of 23, he worshipped Zheng Wuchang as a teacher to learn Chinese landscape painting, and in 1951, he was taught by He Tianjian, director of the Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy, specializing in traditional landscape painting of the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties.
