【Editor's note】Early in the morning, the first rays of morning light sprinkled on the Dongpi River, like golden ripples, gently rippling. Crossing the river from an old stone bridge known locally as the "Arch Bridge", a large branch stretches out at the head of the bridge, and many first-time visitors can't help but stand on the arch bridge and take a photo, freezing the light and shadow of this moment. The 67th stop of Yangcheng Evening News "Damei Lingnan" walked into Zhaijiang Village, Dongpi Town, Lianzhou, Qingyuan, to visit the paradise away from the hustle and bustle and listen to the heartbeat of nature.
Walking into Zhaijiang Village, bluestone paths wind through continuous turquoise rice paddies and connect houses one after another. Many of the houses in Zhaijiang Village still maintain a simple appearance, and the tiles and masonry leave traces of life, precipitating the stories of the years.
"The village Yancheng tree is far away, and the solution refers to Qingxi and Cuiwei." Walk to the Dongpi River, walk up the steps along the old stone bridge in the village, a ray of sunlight through the mist, jump down from the green ancient branches by the bridge, and stir golden ripples on the river. There is an old temple next to the bridge, known locally as "Cool Breeze View", and now green vines climb on the ruins, scattered bricks and stones are covered with mud, verdant moss climbs along the rainy road, morning light hits the ruins, and the history recorded in the bricks and stones is revitalized in nature.
In this land surrounded by green mountains, many people here still retain many traditional customs and lifestyles. The sunrise works, the sunset rests, the spring listens to the flowers and rain, and the autumn solstice is busy cutting rice. Carrying hoes and ploughing tools on their shoulders, the farmers ploughed the land, day after day, season after season, painting and calligraphy of the four seasons on the earth, telling the hard work of farming and the hope of a good harvest.
