From September 8th to September 17th, Glenfiddich's "Breaking the Boundary, Moving Forward" art space was officially opened at the Shanghai fashion landmark JULU758, like antlers growing and extending, moving forward and boldly exploring the field of art.

Glenfiddich's blend with art has a long history – the Glenfiddich Artist in Residence program, created since 2002, invites artists from different fields around the world to Duff Town, Scotland, every summer, and spend months in the winery to travel and create.

Continuing the concept of this project, Glenfiddich will explore the journey of art and extend it, following last year's "Breaking Boundaries" art exhibition with six artists, and this year it will take a step further to create a "Breaking Boundaries, Moving Forward" art space, bringing together multiple sensory experiences such as sight and taste, and bursting with new inspiration for the integration of whisky and art.

Synaesthesia experience, flavor reverie

On September 8th, with art as the axis and flavor as the chain, an opening cocktail party to drink and appreciate the flavor together announced the official opening of Glenfiddich's "Breaking the Boundary and Moving Forward" art space. In this space of inspiration, seven artists from different fields interpret their unique insights into the spirit of "leapfrogging forward" and whisky flavor exploration through a variety of media and forms.

Using light and shadow, artist Ma Jin created a three-dimensional calligraphy hanging installation "Leapfrogging Forward", bringing a figurative visual impact; Glass plastic barrel, artist Gu Tianyu collected Speyser's four seasons in the valley and moved it into crystal wine barrels. Continuing the new presentation of the theme spirit of his personal works, Jin Han uses woodcuts to depict the scene of fireworks blooming, Ma Linjie depicts the boundless ocean with oil paintings, and Chen Xin recreates the majestic Dafu Town Winery on canvas; Integrating personal thinking to find commonalities, Chen Yingze uses metal materials to retain the eternity of mountain flowers, and Zou Yingzi observes the laws of the sky and uses hand embroidery to pay tribute to the spirit of cultivation and ingenuity.

Wandering through the art space, guests listened to the artists' creations and shares, immersed in the artworks on display, and tasted the Glenfiddich collection under the leadership of brand ambassador Roy. Glenfiddich brewed in small batches for 18 years, smelling not only the aroma of malt, the aroma of apples, but also the elegant smell of oak barrels, gently sipping the mouth, the gentle and rich dried fruit, sugar-coated taste quietly released, and the mouth echoes with a warm and long moving aftertaste. In addition, the Glenfiddich Collection is 21 years and 22 years old, marking extraordinary moments for art and whisky lovers with their own unique flavors.

In addition to feeling the charm of pure drinking, the variety of creative cocktails also adds a lot of color to this space. Glenfidy's 12-year-old "Apricot and Apple" blended with lime juice and dried ginger water brings a refreshing and delicate taste, while Glenfidy's 15-year-old special "Garden of Time" skillfully blends the slight bitterness of Soviet-style wine with the light herbal flavor of garden white Meis, and brings a touch of sweetness and sourness.
