Venice Awards: "Poor Thing" won the golden lion, and the Chinese film "Love is a Gun" won the future lion
The 80th Venice Film Festival Awards were recently moved out. Ogus Lansmos's new film "Poor Thing" won the biggest prize for best picture. Ryusuke Hamaguchi's Grand Jury Prize, 26-year-old Carly Spiney, Peter Sarsgaard actor, Best Director & Newcomer for "I Am a Captain". Li Hongqi won the Future Lion Award for Best Director for his first directorial work "Love is a Gun". This is also the first time in the history of the Venice Film Festival that a Chinese-language film has won this award.

The current Poor Stuff has a Rotten Tomatoes freshness rating of 98% and an average score of 9.2. With a comprehensive score of 94, MetaCritic has been certified a must-see and is the 4th highest-scoring film of the year! Film critics said that the film is not only large-scale, sharp and imaginative, Emma Stone also gave the best performance of her career!
"Evil Does Not Exist" directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi won the Grand Jury Prize; "Priscilla" actress Carly Spiney and "Memory" actor Peter Sarsgaard won this year's Winnie actress and actor respectively; Matteo Galloni won the Best Director Award for "I Am Captain"! Guillermo Calderón and Pablo Laraine won the Best Screenplay Award for "Count Vampire".
