In view of the current severe and complex situation of telecommunications network fraud crimes involving China in northern Myanmar, the Ministry of Public Security has deployed public security organs in Yunnan and other places to continue to promote crackdown actions and effectively safeguard the safety of people's lives and property. Recently, the Pu'er public security organ in Yunnan actively carried out border police cooperation with relevant local law enforcement departments in Myanmar, and 1,207 suspects involved in fraud in northern Myanmar were successfully handed over to us, including 41 online fugitives, which is another major achievement in the crackdown operation after the arrest of 269 suspects involved in fraud in northern Myanmar in the early stage.
On September 3, the Xishuangbanna public security organs and relevant local law enforcement departments in Myanmar carried out a joint operation and successfully arrested a number of criminal suspects, and the first victory of the crackdown operation was successful. In order to extend the depth and breadth of the crackdown, the Ministry of Public Security has deployed public security organs in Yunnan and other places to continuously increase their work and comprehensively adopt a variety of measures to advance the crackdown in depth. Recently, under the command and deployment of the Ministry of Public Security and the Yunnan Provincial Public Security Department, the Pu'er public security organs have actively carried out border police cooperation with relevant local law enforcement departments in Myanmar, and promptly informed them of fraud dens and personnel clues. On September 6, the relevant local law enforcement departments in Myanmar launched an arrest operation, focusing on handing over to our side 1,207 suspects involved in fraud, as well as a large number of crime tools such as computers, mobile phones, mobile phone cards, and bank cards.
At present, the public security organs are conducting a review and investigation of the criminal suspects handed over to us in accordance with the law, and the public security organs will thoroughly investigate all the criminal facts and severely punish those suspected of fraud, illegally crossing the national (border) border and other violations and crimes in accordance with the law; The public security organs will conscientiously organize investigations into those whose family members report to the police that they have been unpredicated, and if they are found to have been illegally detained abroad, they will urge the law enforcement departments of relevant countries and regions to severely punish criminals and resolutely protect the personal safety and lawful rights and interests of mainland citizens.
The relevant responsible person of the Ministry of Public Security said that foreign countries are not places outside the law, and crimes will be severely punished, and the public security organs will adhere to the people-centered approach, further strengthen border police law enforcement cooperation, continue to organize and carry out actions to crack down on telecommunications network fraud crimes involving China in northern Myanmar, and continue to clear up fraud dens, arrest people involved in fraud according to law, and resolutely curb the high incidence of such crimes.
