In fact, during the period when the US senior management came to the mainland, they did reach relevant agreements with us on the development of US companies in the mainland market, that is, they promised that the export control between the two sides would be communicated in a timely manner. As a result, a new news came in this context, that is, the mainland will purchase 40 Boeing aircraft, which means that the visit of the US high-level to the mainland has achieved substantive results.
Whether the Boeing aircraft can be shipped itself is actually not very important, the important thing is that we have not exchanged for the lifting of the ban, and we have sent large orders to US companies, which is really unhappy. However, this thing has ushered in a reversal.
According to the information, Boeing has indeed warmed up in the Chinese market recently, but it has not involved the shipment plan of the new Boeing 737 Max. After relevant review, the large-scale purchase of 40 Boeing aircraft actually occurred in December 2022. At that time, we signed a purchase agreement with Boeing to deliver the 40 aircraft in 2027 and 2028.
To put it bluntly, this is an old piece of information, this time to turn it out again, most of it is still related to the visit of US high-level officials to the mainland, they urgently need to obtain a breakthrough in our hands, and use external pressure to let us re-order Boeing.
It's just that how the outside world discusses it doesn't mean much to Boeing.
You must know that since a large order of 240 billion yuan in 2017, Boeing executives have publicly stated that the inability of American aircraft to be exported to the mainland is all due to various current restrictions, which has led to this situation that makes Boeing feel very disappointed. Obviously, Boeing itself is very clear in his heart, under the continuous restrictions of US technology, Boeing wants to re-ship a large number of airlines in the mainland market is quite difficult, and with the current attitude of the old United States, it may still disappoint Boeing as always.
But, from our side, we can't keep Boeing from shipping.
After all, Boeing's own aircraft have made new progress in safety verification, which they have announced has advanced a lot. And the reason why we ground Boeing's 737 family aircraft is because of safety. Once Boeing's aircraft are not wrong at this point, then it is normal for Boeing aircraft to be shipped to the mainland market. The most important thing is that the global market is heating up, the demand for aircraft is also increasing, and the orders placed for Airbus alone cannot be fully satisfied. Therefore, as long as there is demand in the market and Boeing can get back on the safe track, then Boeing is unlikely to be banned from shipping all the time.
Secondly, although we signed a purchase agreement for 160 aircraft for Airbus this year, we gave a large order to Airbus. But this is an era of diversified supply chains, and unless we all use our own domestic aircraft, we will not give all our orders to Airbus.
In this regard, it can balance the price in the market and not let Airbus start from the price alone. On the other hand, we must also prevent supply cuts, even if Airbus can ship a large number of goods now, but there is no guarantee that the future will be possible. Therefore, whether it is from the market balance or from the situation of reducing the stuck neck, we cannot completely rule out Boeing's aircraft.
