IT House news on September 1, Samsung in order to fight against Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, plans to reintroduce its own Exynos 2400 processor in the Galaxy S24 / S24+ model launched next year, but from the early news point of view game performance is still a pain point.

Source @Tech_Reve shared information about the Samsung Exynos 2400 processor, which IT House summarized below:

First of all, from the perspective of running scores, the single-core score of the Exynos 2400 is lower than that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and the multi-core score is equal to or slightly lower than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Samsung has also cut in the Exynos 2100 for cost considerations, and there are no longer reservations on the Exynos 2400 to maximize performance.

However, Samsung's mass production process, design and Qualcomm still have shortcomings, and it cannot achieve the advantage of surpassing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the real machine experience.

Compared with TSMC's N4P in terms of process, Samsung's 4LPP+ process is inferior in performance and area, but it is not bad in terms of power consumption. Overall, it is comparable to or slightly inferior to N4P.

In addition, regarding GPUs, it is currently rumored that GPU power consumption is very high. Another source said that the Exynos 2400's GPU not only has manufacturing problems, but also lies in the GPU design itself, which Samsung is currently optimizing and the initial performance is not impressive.
