At the beginning of the new semester, in order to further strengthen the school's rule of law education work, enhance students' concept of rule of law, improve students' legal knowledge level, let students know, understand, abide by and use the law, and create a harmonious and safe campus, the Xixia District People's Court recently launched a series of rule of law publicity activities, bringing teachers and students the first "rule of law education class".
105 Grade 7 students from Wencui Middle School came to the Xixia District Court and visited the grappling and fighting performance of the judicial police brigade, the grassroots work site of "eliminating pornography and fighting illegal activities", the family court, and the litigation service center, to gain an in-depth understanding of the basic meaning, duties and missions, as well as the work processes and functions of case filing, trial, and execution. After that, he observed a theft case in the eighth courtroom and experienced the scene of the trial from zero distance. During the nearly 40-minute trial, the students were engrossed, attentive and listened carefully, not only intuitively feeling the rigor and professionalism of the trial, but also benefiting a lot. After the trial, the judge in charge of the case started from the case, combined with the legal knowledge involved in the case, and carried out in-depth exchanges with the students, further helping students cultivate their sense of citizenship, rules, and law, and enhance their reverence for the law.
Judge Jin Jing of the Criminal Court walked into the primary school of Yinchuan School of Beijing Normal University and gave a vivid rule of law publicity class to more than 150 students. In the class, the judge gave a lecture on the concept of law, the age of legal responsibility, behaviors that affect the personal and property safety of students, and the three major legal responsibilities of teenagers. The judge used specific and vivid examples to analyze in simple terms, so that students could understand which behaviors are illegal crimes and the bad consequences brought about by illegal crimes. At the same time, it also focused on how to prevent accidental injuries on campus, resist the invasion of bad habits, and improve the awareness of self-protection and prevention.
The person in charge of the Xixia District People's Court said that it adheres to the combination of "going out" and "inviting in", continuously strengthens the linkage between colleges and universities, and provides solid judicial guarantees for the construction of civilized and harmonious campuses and the protection of the rights and interests of minors through various forms of legal education and publicity activities such as "vice principals for rule of law" entering campuses, court open days, and law popularization lectures.
