The Yangtze River rushes for more than 6,000 kilometers and flows into the sea in the east of Baoshan, Shanghai, where the Yangtze River, Huangpu River and Yunzaobang meet, and it is an important node and waterway gateway on the Yangtze River Economic Belt. On the occasion of Baoshan's "Northern Transformation" drawing a new blueprint and starting a new journey, the Publicity Department of the Baoshan District Party Committee and the Baoshan District Media Center launched the special feature of "Green Yangtze River Estuary and New Picture of Baoshan", comprehensively reporting Baoshan's practice of "ecological priority and green development", drawing and weaving the Baoshan answer sheet for the protection of the Yangtze River, and promoting the vivid practice of the construction of "main position, main urban area and model area".
The sea pond in Baoshan is a paradise for me and my friends when I was a child. Every time we went out of the back door of Linjiang Park (now Shanghai Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Park), we would wander wantonly by the sea pond, blowing the river breeze, blowing cowhide, blowing bubble gum, meeting the low tide, occasionally climbing down the sea pond, stepping on the mud and sand with one foot deep and one shallow foot to catch small crabs, so quiet and spent countless carefree days.

In our concept, Haitang starts from the end of the east side of Pangu Road and extends to Wusong. On the other side of Pangu Road is the 14th District Wharf of Shanghai Port, once we sneaked in, and was curious to board a huge cargo ship, a sailor saw that we were not driven away, and warmly invited us to visit the ship, but the port area was too noisy and crowded, and there was no comfort by the sea pond.
At that time, when the weekend was off, most of the nearby residents would go to the sea pond to walk, so gradually there were stalls selling balloons, kites, clay people, cotton candy, ice cream popsicles, etc., almost became a lively market, every May Day or the eleventh National Day more people, parents who take their children to Linjiang Park, will definitely go to the sea pond to visit those stalls, buy three or two small snacks or toys for their children, make them happy. I remember one year on National Day, I heard that there was a fireworks celebration performance by the sea pond at 8 p.m. on the eve of the National Day, and after dinner that day, I and a few classmates nearby hurriedly ran to meet at the sea pond, but I didn't think it was early, there were already many people gathered by the sea pond, we huddled in the crowd, and found a position where we could stand by the body. Stay until it is completely dark, 8 o'clock on time, the fireworks really rise into the sky in turn, decorating the night sky brilliantly, the audience is infected one by one, sometimes admiring, sometimes applauding, there is a man and a woman two seventy or eighty-year-old old people very close to us, holding hands with each other, silently shedding tears, we felt strange, how to cry when watching fireworks, so far the picture is deeply imprinted in my memory.
Baoshan used to be flooded, and there are countless floods recorded in history, such as the flood that occurred on July 16 in the tenth year of the Yongzheng Dynasty (1732): "The sea of hurricanes overflowed, the flat land was high and the water was high, and the official offices in the city were all dumped, and countless drowning were lost." On the 18th, the storm stopped, and the water receded for a few days. It was not until the 12th year of the Yongzheng Dynasty (1734) that Hu Renji was transferred to Baoshan Zhi County, and after inspecting the county seat, he found that the depression in Baoshan was the biggest scourge was the tide, and if the tide was not subdued, Baoshan would have no peace. Therefore, the second year, the construction of the moat pond began, and he personally supervised it day and night, and it was this restored earthen pond that withstood the strong wind and rain on August 16, the third year of Qianlong (1738). In the fourth year of Qianlong (1739), Hu Renji was allowed to build the Baoshan moat stone pond, the total length of the moat stone pond is 1300 zhang, the bottom piles are made of five barrels of wood piles, covered with bluestone, with iron ingots, iron pins buckle, until the eighth year of Qianlong (1743) was completed, soon after completion, Baoshan encountered a huge tide disaster, the houses and residents outside the stone pond were all swallowed by the tide, and the inside of the stone pond was unharmed.

Many years later, in order to commemorate Hu Renji, the people of Baoshan named this moat stone pond "Hutang", and it is precisely because of this "Hutang" that the sea pond in Baoshan has become a leisure and sightseeing place for many people in the past hundred years. Zhang Yuanji, the founder of the Commercial Press, has come to Baoshan many times to recuperate, and Haitang is a place where he often walks during his recuperation. Students of Fudan Public School also go for a walk in Haitang after dinner, China Public School is the only way, because Fudan's school building is simple, Zhonggong's school building is tall and majestic, so they never want to approach Zhonggong, they think that Fudan's school building is not as good as Zhonggong, but Fudan students' spirit of reading is always active, is never willing to let people step. In 1920, when Zhu arrived at the middle school of China Public School in the early Qing Dynasty, he wrote a letter to his friend Yu Pingbo, who introduced that "the Huangpu River flows day and night outside, and the river bank is made of water gates, which is quite beautiful to walk, and the end of the bank is where the Huangpu River and the Yangtze River meet", he liked it very much, and looked forward to Yu Pingbo: "If you can come, everyone will be happy." "Many citizens of downtown Shanghai came on the Songhu Railway, letting the river breeze blow gently, or standing next to the river, or staring into the distance, feeling the sound of sails and shadows in the smoke.

Today, the appearance of the sea pond has long been renewed, and there are many landscapes and buildings. Two years ago, I went to visit the Shanghai History Museum, and at the end I watched the film "Unforgettable Moments" in the screening hall on the fourth floor, the content of the film includes the launch of the mainland's first 10,000-ton freighter "Dongfeng" in Shanghai in 1960, the official start of construction of Baosteel in 1978, the opening of Metro Line 1 in 1995 and other important pictures that have occurred in various historical periods in Shanghai for decades. Yes, I was born in Baoshan, I have lived on this land for more than 40 years, I love it here, and during that time, I watched this beautiful river and build such a magnificent cruise port, how not exciting.

That evening, I walked on the approach bridge of the cruise port, which was covered with golden sunsets, and it was idyllic and warm. Not far away, several fishing boats are undulating with the waves of the river, as Xu Zhimo put it, they are "a flock of carefree seabirds, swimming in the twilight of dusk." Suddenly, those moments left by the sea pond in those years appeared in front of my eyes one by one.
