The Curious Case of Benjamin Patton is a fantasy romance film directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett, based on the short story of the same name by Francis Scott Fitzgero. The film tells the story of a man who was born like an old man, who became younger and younger as he turned back time, and the love story between him and a woman who grew up normally across time and space.

The story of the film begins when Hurricane Katrina hits New Orleans in 2005, when a dying old woman, Daisy (Cate Blanchett), asks her daughter Caroline (Julia Ormond) to read a diary for her. This diary chronicles the life of a man named Benjamin Patton (Brad Pitt). Benjamin was born in 1918 as old and sick as an 85-year-old, his mother died in a difficult birth, and his father, Thomas (Jason Fleming), unable to accept the freak, abandoned him at the door of a nursing home. Fortunately, he was killed by a black female caregiver, Quinnie (Taraji M. P. Hansen) adopted and became her adopted son. In the nursing home, Benjamin met many elderly people, and they told him their own stories and experiences, which filled him with curiosity and imagination about the world.
