Welcome to today's SmackDown program highlights and results!
Aigie's future is unclear, but today is a time to remember for Aiji. In a spectacular main event, Aggie defeated Simos in his hometown of Toronto.
Today's show celebrates the 25th anniversary of the debut of Eggie TV WWE. The 11-time world champion took the honor in his first singles match against Simos, the man Aggie has recovered from a career-threatening injury. What Aggie's next step is still a mystery. The Canadian superstar told Eastern Television that today's match is the "last game" on his current contract. Last year, he told WWE wrestling fans on an episode of RAW that he would consider retiring in Toronto in 2023.
Today's show also features the number one contender for the U.S. championship, and the street kids under Bobby Leslie are gaining momentum.
In the midst of retirement rumors, Aggie ended up winning today's match
There are many video packs on the show celebrating Aggie's career. The first is a video featuring WWE superstars John Cena, Natella and Samisin, among others, thanking and congratulating Aiji. Later, a career review began when Bretthart asked him on a talk show how he got into the industry.
Aggie defeated Simos with his signature flying shoulder. Aggie and Seamus' first encounter was intense. Eggie plays the role of the weakling, using timing and cunning to defeat the savage power of Himos. One of the best moments of the match was when Aggie knocked Shimos out of the ring with a flying shoulder.
Determined to outperform his opponents, Seamus turned the Great White Shark Shock into a cross, twice in a row. Aggie's wife, Beth Phoenix, sat down in the audience. Seamus' victory seemed certain, and he flew over with a flying knee and a counterattack, but the Hall of Famer miraculously kicked out. In the end, it was two shoulder punches that knocked Simos to the ground forever, allowing Aggie to victory in his hometown.
After the game, Aggie accepted the adoration of the crowd. Aggie, the 11-time world champion, flew kisses to his wife and two daughters. When Aggie and Seamus hugged, Beth Phoenix almost cried.
Itch and Simos gave their all in that game. The duo did a great job in last week's bout, which is probably the importance of the first bout that most wrestling fans don't notice. Today is a great main event and it wouldn't be inappropriate at PPV.
Big moves, unique offense, one-shots, decisive finishes and pronounced emotions. It was a great game. The obvious emotions of Aggie and Beth Phoenix also add a touch of mystery. There were rumors that Aggie was about to retire, but there was no public confirmation. It will be interesting to see where Aggie will go from here.
